11/4/2017 21:52 | at least when we join the Nas! We will get ride of this shorting crewe......hope they all get stung this time after what happened last week... looking forward to the road ahead with BNN! Should prove to be a very interesting/exciting year...GLA | and11
11/4/2017 21:37 | What extensive research has he done? He had never even heard of the company until last week by his own admission. By being short he's actually taking on a lot of risk, yes if there is bad news then he will make money and look good. But if not, he will lose a packet trying to buy back in any significant quantity as the majority these shares are tightly held and illiquid...his losses could be unlimited. | monts12
11/4/2017 21:36 | I dont think he has done extensive research here.Looked at the market cap, profit record, cash calls, the latest update and decided that the valuation is too rich. That is about the extent of his research. | nurdin
11/4/2017 21:27 | Nobody else concerned that Lucian Miers is openly short here? He's not always right, but often enough and he does extensive, direct research. Also puts his money where his mouth is. Lost 60k on brexit result for instance. | tbrock2
11/4/2017 21:21 | message boards are often ‘infiltrated | genises
11/4/2017 21:15 | This bear raid thing, there's a few bits I don't understand. The share price had been dropping for months and months. Some folks were in the know, imo. Stop losses were being triggered, support levels breached and not a word from the company. Then, probably when the bears realised it was 'open day' and the share price was really pushed down, which forced the statement out of BNN. The statement revealed a weak set of figures, no explanation and no margin % given.Seems to me it was self-inflicted.Let's see if they can get the results out this week, although given BNN's 'slippage' record, be no great surprise if they don't manage want they promised only last week. | astralvision
11/4/2017 21:12 | In business, nothing happens in China without high level government approval. The online lotteries became a money making bonanza for all types of crooks and so the Chinese government put an end to it until it can confidently and closely regulate it. That will happen and whoever is involved at that point will have been given official approval. At the end of the day if anyone wants to make money in China, the only sure way is to get official approval and do it their way...a way that's very different to how we do things in the West....time, patience and respect (along with agreements to their benefit) go a long way out there. Or it's the highway! | monts12
11/4/2017 21:01 | The last year very positive as the company has changed completely. The upside will be the additional revenue on the lottery which will eventually come back with less companies as operators. The future will look very bright as long as you have patience on news and the price going up and down. A typical bear raid last week and lucky for some who brought back in at the very low point. Share price still see it over £2 in the future or taken out by one of the big boys. In for another year or more depending on the future. Be careful on some of the posters on here as I can see some worming their way in to posters who have been here along time. | genises
11/4/2017 19:56 | Hello ChapsI'm interested in investing in BNN, what's the mood of this stock been over the last few years? And sentiment guidance would be helpful (Always posting without prejudice) | aimster4400
11/4/2017 19:42 | charles...if you mean me,no.I never short.Just trying to look outside the blinkers, but I can see I am wasting my time. Mick...just in case YOU didnt know ,the definition of a totalitarian government is as follows: 'This is a repressive, unfree type of society. We live in a democracy, where the people have a say and elect officials. The opposite is totalitarianism: a totalitarian society is usually ruled by a dictator, and there is very little or no freedom. In totalitarianism, the government controls almost every aspect of life.' Now go and give them your personal details !! | nurdin
11/4/2017 19:38 | I think there are a lot of guesstimates going on here people. A lot of which act as more confusing than helpful. Let's judge this company on their and their brokers numbers. Hopefully we will see those soon. GLA. | newmanontheblock
11/4/2017 18:51 | Nursing ; You not going short on us are you ?😱 | charlesdarcy
11/4/2017 18:16 | Nurdin it doesn't matter whether Chinese people like the government or not. In case you didn't know it is a totalitarian state and the Chinese government have stated that they want the xna to be the app in China. I don't think the people will get a choice. | micktheknife
11/4/2017 17:49 | PhiParkes...you think what you like mate.Thats my opinion and I believe what I have said to be atleast partially true.It also might explain why the uptake of their offering has been so low and well short of expectations. We have exhausted all other explanations... | nurdin
11/4/2017 16:53 | 2877 I think. Link to government is a key USP is my view, without it I would not be invested in BNN right now. | perfect choice
11/4/2017 16:04 | Hope you are right CD.It does need a full and frank explanation with the results. I'm not sure which way it will go, think it will depend on the results narrative. | astralvision
11/4/2017 16:04 | I am not even sure that their link with the Government through XNA is necessarily a good thing either.. People in China have an inherent mistrust of the Government and I suspect this would prevent many from signing up to anything BNN has to offer. After all they have to hand over a lot of personal information which, in their minds, could find its way to Government ledger! This by the way is a view shared by some others as well. | nurdin
11/4/2017 15:57 | Astra ; I agree the RNS for the past 6 months have not been as clear as I would of thought But got the feeling with the listing it was going to get much clearer as it neared I think we are going to see a high of 90p+ with ok news But with some big future numbers it could land back at the 1.30 figure Interesting few days ahead | charlesdarcy
11/4/2017 15:38 | In the loss making Chinese fintech stocks they may make a large loss but the top line growth is always very strong. | astralvision
11/4/2017 15:37 | I think the trouble is things like what margin BNN are achieving don't even get a mention so far, along with GTV, that is a vital bit of information. It's difficult to give too much weight to Mirabaud's £50m for petrol forecast when they have got the other apps so wrong. And the £50m doesn't make any sense anyway, in a business (petrol) where margins are under constant attack. They would possibly have been better off toning it all down, along the lines of we are trying to gain ingress into the petrol retail market,we anticipate £10m or whatever in the first year and expect to go strongly from there etc. Instead, they slap a bloody big number on the table and folks get miffed when they don't get anywhere near it. | astralvision
11/4/2017 15:35 | Yes and until last Wednesday he had not heard of BNN as stated. I think he needs to look at several USA china focused stocks valued in billions and making a loss then. BNN has always been based on the growth of its platform which is not yet. It has only just started as of last October. | perfect choice
11/4/2017 15:30 | Lucient Miers is a respected shorter and his view on the present mcap is beginning to feel not unreasonable. Mirabaud projections will need a heavy dose of salt unless a reasonable explanation for the transaction volumes emerges. | ripplevale
11/4/2017 15:21 | I'm certainly not short here, btw, but it is a bit concerning when known shorters start getting their teeth into this At the end of the day the share price will reflect the success BNN makes of the opportunity in China. They have the cash, the relationships and would seem to have the ability. I just wish they would be a bit more straight with investors instead of bulling everything up. | astralvision
11/4/2017 15:15 | PC No, a company does not RNS a broker's forecast, it was the house broker's forecast and that set the market expectations. After a time it was clear that the forecast was out of date, post the numerous fund-raisings (all for a good reason) and further deals announced. If I give just a few bits from recent RNS's, an investor could be forgiven for thinking that things were taking off vertical. They are not, could be for good reasons, we will find out. eg December 8th '..with a circa four-fold increase in gross sales(1) between October and November. This growth gives the Directors considerable confidence in the scalability of our platform and prospects for growth in December 2016 and beyond.' Didn't happen in December or Q1. Ok, they got it wrong. 'As outlined in the interim accounts, we are pleased to confirm that the Group has returned to substantial revenue generation in the second half of this year, with strong month-on-month increases in trading volumes' Depends on definition of 'substantial' but, on the face of it, it sure don't look like it. Month on month growth? They are the ones quoting it, but for 5 months Nov-march, didn't happen. ' We expect further growth of B2B volumes in December and into Q1 2017 as further payment services are launched and new contracts enacted. ' Ok, again, didn't happen, perhaps contracts were delayed, although no hint of that it last weeks TU. That was just the December 8th update. No-one forced them to write that stuff but it looks, now the figures were forced out of them last week, misplaced comment or misjudged comment. | astralvision |
