15/4/2018 20:15 | Don't worry about Tilly99. 'It's' just another BOT from the Russian Internet Research Academy. | maccamcd
15/4/2018 18:15 | Good spot wishbone. Over to you Tilly. | shutittrev
15/4/2018 17:05 | 6/5/2017 12:02 tilly99: Sold out here Fully valued Good luck to all holders Thought I’d seen it before.... Any agenda Tilly...or you just like doing the oki coki... in-out-in-out and all that..... Hopefully we get another 100 per cent uplift as we did when you sold Last time....... | wishbone1970
14/4/2018 23:44 | Bigboyblue, I think, statistically- unless you have knowledge that is detailed about the market, holding until the Exploitation licence seems to be a very sound strategy. After all, predicting when licences or other permits or resource news comes through is virtually impossible. Even then it would be a reasoned guess. Exploitation licences are followed - usually with fund raising and construction. This is where I think a miner of Sands , in particular not in rock form but in sand form, scores well, it needs a fair size building, to keep stuff out of the elements. Other than that the rest is loading , collecting and the machines. Also, apart from a shaking table that sifts out the smaller grains & a spiral tube filled with a reasonably dense liquid this project needs only strong magnets and some Bulldozers, loaders, plus a relatively short conveyor belt to take it out to the waiting ship. This is the work of a few months, So, I predict that what is referred to as the “Orphan period” will not affect this share so much as one with capex in the $100m plus bracket, just as a guess my own estimate for capex is a lot less than that! Ships can be leased, as can modern mine machinery, in fact the whole lot could be put out to tender to be mined and separated on a contract basis, certainly that would allow our management to carry on adding value, in particular to our next most likely project Disko, that’s a very interesting Nickel Sulphide play. The alternative is the Zinc, Lead Silver also in the South of Greenland. An interesting ultra high grade exploration target! Personally I’m looking to hold for a decent while yet, (3 years including as a FinnAust holder!) and, personal circumstances notwithstanding I hope this turns into a decent annuity for the future, in the form of a dividend paying company. As we all know though, plans can change! Of course, all in my opinion! Etc. R. | rampair
14/4/2018 22:40 | Sure I remember you posting the same thing a year ago Tilly.... Hoping for a drop to get back in again? | wishbone1970
14/4/2018 21:44 | Back from dins. Good luck Tilly. As shutittrev states there is nothing wrong in taking a profit. I have nothing to add to his comment about Jennings of Align save that Jennings was downing FinnAust, now Bluejay, when it was 7 pence when his "considered opinion" was that they were only worth 2 pence - they are now 25 pence. I have just done a recce of the company's website and the major shareholders have 74.16% of the issued stock; I doubt that is fake news!! | snowyflake
14/4/2018 21:28 | Hi Tilly....it's never wrong to take profits but I do hope your decision was not based on Ricardo's mutterings. Your post implies that you have taken his opinion seriously. I arnt been funny or owt but was this the rationale behind your determination? Just curious like. | shutittrev
14/4/2018 18:16 | Tilly: I can't knock your decision, you've paid your money, made a profit and taken it. For my part though I believe there are several posters on here (not including myself; I'm just an ordinary PI) who are just as well qualified as Richie to give an opinion, and of those some have a much more thorough and detailed understanding of this company than he apparently does. I don't have a target price in mind, more events. I intend to stay until the exploitation permit and review then. | bigboyblue
14/4/2018 16:39 | I've sold out now Richie says these are worth 3p at best Hope he's wrong but I don't want to give back all my profits | tilly99
14/4/2018 10:48 | Many thanks for your kind words Shavian. I am considering of printing the tekst and frame it for my wall of fame, just next to my wall of shame. (equal in size) Only 44 hours to go to Monday, 08.00 AM. And what will that bring us? Good weekend. | moreminer
14/4/2018 08:28 | MM: Your command of English grammar deserves our respect. You express yourself more clearly than many of our native speakers who post on these ADVFN boards (JAY’s regular posters excepted, of course!) | shavian
13/4/2018 14:03 | sold my 49k trade - quick trade on Falcon if they lift the moratorium... still a fair whack here though | gersemi
13/4/2018 12:33 | Good find rampair; I will have to have a word with Vladimir. Might send him some vodka. | snowyflake
13/4/2018 12:03 | It’s frustrating for all, a worry isn’t going to help, but getting the JORC plus the Environmental and social assessment is literally hundreds of pages in themselves. We’ve been very fortunate because The local town is very keen and the Hunting club are asking what they can sell to us! Walrus and chips all round then?! I noticed that Russian Parliament is voting on a ban on sale of Titanium to the US because of recent troubles, ultimately that’s going to help us as we are at the top of North America - well placed to supply the raw material. R | rampair
13/4/2018 11:55 | Snowyflake, Many thanks for your wise words. No pun intended and just fretting around and having some fun! However, as non native speaker, I would have prefered that the words, "in due course" had been used and not imminent. I bet that there are quite some fellow investors checking spot on 07.00am every day. That gets a bit bored. So not imminent but soon come. Good weekend again, and keep smiling. MM | moreminer
13/4/2018 08:51 | Good, presumably we have to have a system for cooling in summer heat though - where we will lose efficiency- I spoke to Renault yesterday to ask about their little Zero Emissions car ZOE, very good value second hand! But, a bit hit and miss when it comes to heat and cold stress on the battery “not really sure” was the most competent reply! Trouble is I can see radiators having to be used, in bigger energy use like lorries running on batteries heat and cold is a big issue. Luckily the car was white so they had a few kg of TiO2 in it. I’m with the Russian minister, we will need oil for a while yet. Until energy density of a battery is the same size and efficiency as a Fuel tank in a car it’s a bit of an issue. Anyway, we carry on waiting for news, here in our Ilmenite world. Thanks for the homework, I’ll think of a mark :) R. | rampair
12/4/2018 18:58 | Good evening Rampair, haha this is getting like that sub story that ran through the movie "saving private ryan" whereby the soldiers ran a book trying to guess Tom Hanks proffesion previous to the outbreak of war...suggestions please with a ton bag of ilmenite to the winner? The answer? Well I do not claim to have to engineering skills or background to ultimately solve this problem but I might suggest that the solution lies with super insulating the batteries, transferri | thebigchap
12/4/2018 18:33 | Hello thebigchap - the Old college Professor in an alternate universe maybe! but mostly if people are genuine - I think of Gersemi as a very genuine holder, my problem is that this stuff is in my head!it has no other use other than to other Fools like us unfortunately. I think the young student should get a few quid and report back, although Cadence minerals are involved in Queensland now. An interesting poster posed the Question (relevant to Lithium and Battery Minerals.) “What happens when you are stuck in a snowstorm at -10c What use is a battery?” We all know the feeling on a cold day with a flat battery their efficiency falls off a cliff. As a Russian oil minister said - middle of a Russian Winter what is the Tesla range....? Good point , I don’t know the answer to that So, TheBigChap, for your homework, I’d like you to bring us the answer ! R. No rush, end of week. ;-) | rampair
12/4/2018 17:06 | Haha bloody hell rampair I sometimes find it hard to tell if your giving someone a jolly good telling off or if there is a back handed compliment in there? Maybe a hint of old college professor in there? Anyway thanks for entertaining and roll on the jorc | thebigchap
12/4/2018 15:50 | Hi Gersemi, funny old world, that village formed part of an exploration licence issued in 2012 RNS 44431 to Rare Earth Minerals (now cadence Minerals?)David Lenigas old company. In another coincidence it bordered GGG (Greenland Minerals)listed in Australia who had the huge Kvanefeld deposit. This was run by our MD. Mr McIlree! So, in full circle we have the shareholders here - who may want to send a few £ to the project, you could perhaps post on Cadence too? Let’s wish them a successful summer of science. R. | rampair
12/4/2018 13:41 | It isn't ilmenite they're looking for but it seems Greenland is on the radar now - It mentions the EU (no doubt Denmark is involved)... Wednesday, 11 April 2018 - Education reporters@thetenbyob Former Dyffryn Taf student Anthony Clarke is set for an ambitious geological expedition to Greenland this summer A former student of Ysgol Dyffryn Taf in Whitland is set to embark on an ambitious geological expedition to Greenland this summer. Anthony Clarke, who also studied at Coleg Sir Gâr in Llanelli, and now attends the University of St. Andrews, in Scotland will be part of an international team that spends 40 days independently mapping a 20km2 area, to the north of a tiny village in southern Greenland Narsarsuaq. “The aim of our mapping is to better understand the distribution and formation of rare-earth element (REE) bearing minerals,” explained Anthony. “The area was last mapped in the 1950s before plate tectonics was a theory! “REE elements are used in electronic goods examples including niobium. “China dominates 90 per cent of REE economy, so finding reserves outside of China is a key priority of the European Union. “This is arguably the most ambitious project occurring in UK Universities this summer,” he continued. Over £2,500 of funding has been awarded towards the project by the Mining Institute of Scotland Trust (MIST). With the trip taking place from June to July, any one who would like to sponsor and support the project can contact Anthony Clarke on 07443513817 or via email at ajic@st-andrews.ac.u | gersemi
12/4/2018 13:37 | that's my 49k | gersemi
11/4/2018 15:04 | wish we had more interesting news the next few days. well, tomorrow is 12/4/2018, that adds up to 2034. Isn't that the price of Ilmenite now? | moreminer |
