I wouldn’t disagree with you digger, I wonder if they are planning to be bought out, or is the share structure too tight? I have sold some 10% this morning and switched into MTR but I intend to hold firm with the rest.

Funding news creeping ever closer whatever it will be. Realistically if we do get non dilutive funding what are peoples share price expectations :-

A: on news of funding
B: short term
C: medium term

Mine are

A: spike to 6/7p and fall back to 5p
B: between 7p and 9p
C: take out between 12p to 15p

Southern gold have lots of projects so probably the reason for the complaints from their shareholders

Yes Andy but it's the history of the endless dilution at Southern Gold which has presumably left a nasty stain on their shareholders....

Andy, is this Southern Gold's only project, do they have any other project that requires further funding and therefore dilution?

monty,

But they're good to go here, in just the same way BMV will be once they raise their share of the finance.

Australians like to take projects through to production, and that is exactly what Southern Gold intend to do here, so whilst I can understand the frustration for the time delays, I can't understand the undervaluation, or rather difference between valuations.

Coz their shareholders are complaining of endless dilution and placings to finance all their tenements

Southern Gold now capped at £10 million versus £17 million for BMV.

Reading the HC BB, it's amazing how the negative posts there contrast to the positive posts here, for two companies that equally share the same project!

Similar pattern of trading during the previous sharp upward rise, quiet for most of the day then a sudden sharp uptick close to the end of the day. It could bode well for the next few sessions. Something about the chart makes it look like it’s about to take off

1m trade just gone through, not notifications of major holders selling down, hopefully that is the end of the seller.

Almost no volume, the mm spread is probably a deterrent for buyers

rakepat - financing terms to be "confirmed shortly" according to RNS with a view to financing to be received by end of July. It seems an odd thing to say as you can't have one without the other? However "shortly" in business terms isn't the same as laymans shortly.

We have another month or so until we get news so just need to relax and take position

Skyship,

Agreed, but I would go with a Standard Listing personally. They would certainly benefit by being quoted here, as the arbitrage gap would certainly be closed then.

Interesting comment from HC after the last BMV RNS:

"Oh yeh, its not guaranteed, but its worthy of an announcement. AIM attracts higher valuations and more interest in wannabe miners, yet they can basically release whatever fluff they want. :S"
