06/2/2006 15:22 | From the look of recent deals I would think the buying is institutional.I recently came on board as a result of a recomendation by 1.Unfortunately I have had to pay up to 20p to get a reasonable holding and even then it was no easy task. If the day boys get involved then most of the liquidity, if any, will soon dry up and that will be no good for anyone. | pippit
06/2/2006 15:22 | Hi rivaldo - I own a few of these and am sitting on a very good percent gain now. The main reason for my indifference is I found it so hard to get any decent quantity and IMO got ripped off for the shares I did get! I use barclays but I suspect my portfolio is outgrowing them - shouldn't complain I suppose but need to look at the alternatives. Maybe see you again on the rcg board some time! | lou72
06/2/2006 14:17 | You're absolutely right pippit. But the lack of bb attention is so striking that the rise is obviously down to interest from elsewhere, be it institutional or wherever. Once there is some attention then who knows where the price could end up? As it is BTR is still below the IPO price, yet the company is a different (profitable) company from then. | rivaldo
06/2/2006 13:01 | We are far better off without any hype. Once the rampers get hold of BTR we can expect nothing but nonsense so best to keep quiet and enjoy the ride in peace. | pippit
06/2/2006 12:38 | What a lovely quiet thread this is :o)) Up another 5.3% today, the shares have almost doubled since Novemebr (in general and for me), consistent buying at the full offer - and still no interest! There's either - something going on in the background - the recent article highlighting BTR as cheap in both fundamental and bid target terms has hit home - or investors have cottoned on to the current profitability and potential at a cheap m/cap. Happy to hold for futher gains imo - the consistent rise here has to be indicative of something. | rivaldo
06/2/2006 07:29 | i hate spam!........... | stucom
05/2/2006 14:00 | fellas, anyone a bit bored with spare cash may look at pxc (pipex)for monday morning punt.telco sector, wimax license.rumours of a bid (bidding) war? may be worth a quick quid.stu,holder..... | stucom
05/2/2006 10:15 | Is that a sweet FA approach GHF? Will have a look at ACC (for which thanks), but I need ISA/PEP bargains at the moment rather than AIM babies! You picked a good game yesterday - good luck against Spartans (who?) today. The News of the World again has the BTR World Cup text service flagged prominently today. Thinking about it this should be a terrific and long-term earner for BTR as there's still 6 months to go (including the World Cup itself), with income and resources deployed increasing faster and faster as the Final approaches. Particularly if England at least reach the quarter-finals... I'd like BTR to do an RNS Reach service announcement on this as the market is undoubtedly unaware of it at present. | rivaldo
03/2/2006 17:32 | LOL !.....beat you to it on the FDP thread, got my "whoosh" in & off it went! (I apologise and will return to my FA approach next week) Well that's a 50% return so far......so thanks for flagging this up Rivaldo. As you know I was treating this as a small punt. I believe there is a similar opportunity in another profitable small cap (mkt cap of £3.5m) - Access Intelligence (ACC) - with Papal Power creating an informative thread. Results due out later this month should be good following Director Buying & positive trading update at the tail end of 2005. Current price is close to the year low, £600k net cash to boot and positive outlook for 2006. Maybe one for your comprehensive research ? Have a good weekend. I'm watching another team in black & white tomorrow - coming down for the Newcastle game, so looking forward to a better atmosphere than the usual 3,500 that watch the Saints ! Regards GHF | glasshalfull
03/2/2006 12:43 | :o)) Yep, wish I could post ramptastic stuff, but it's just not in my nature. BTR is going to blow - 30p next week, honestly. Well, maybe. Off to FDP to ramp that now :o)) | rivaldo
03/2/2006 12:10 | Rivaldo Decided to post like this now....far better than hours upon hours of research & analysis (LOL !) | glasshalfull
03/2/2006 11:27 | Another tick up - and a lovely 0.5p spread for anyone interested in buying. | rivaldo
02/2/2006 22:03 | Is that a technical term GHF? | rivaldo
02/2/2006 18:19 | Good solid performance. looks like that 30k was the buy that set it off today on its rise. | haveagoodday
02/2/2006 16:02 | Yeeeha !!! | glasshalfull
02/2/2006 12:51 | Oooooh...54,000 bought at 19p, 1p over the offer :o)) Only one way this share is going surely.... | rivaldo
02/2/2006 12:30 | 38k of buys today have done the trick, and evidently no sellers around. Waiting happily for further news flow now. | rivaldo
02/2/2006 09:55 | Keep posting GHF, seems like someone's listening to you :o)) Bit of a chart breakout now, and still well below the nominal 20.75p price at flotation despite all the recent progress and profitability. One more contract, or RNS confirmation of that News of the World tie-up above, could take the price back up to the 20.75p IPO price imo given the small free float. | rivaldo
02/2/2006 08:27 | Thanks Rivaldo.....exciting times ahead me thinks ! | glasshalfull
31/1/2006 12:04 | The feature in Shares Mag has quite extensive coverage of BTR as follows - cheers stucom: - a poll of analysts believed BTR were one of those most "worth a punt" in the sector - it's grown at a strong and manageable pace - string of profitable deals, including the recent Motorola contract - key strength is ability to implement packages to meet client requirements The feature doesn't mention BTR's Q2 profitability. But interestingly it does talk about big marketing firms eyeing the sector, with BTR being one of the 3 most attractive sector targets. | rivaldo
29/1/2006 12:43 | Good news - today's News of the World has a new service for World Cup news text alerts. The giveaway is that the helpdesk e-mail address is at bluestarmobile.com.. Looks like the link with News Corp is paying dividends. Next World Cup partnership news from T-Mobile coming soon? (and I only get the NOTW for the football reports, honest..) | rivaldo
29/1/2006 09:34 | Hi haveagoodday, ta for the charts - it's the increased interest and volume recently that has intrigued me too. Have you bought in to BTR already? | rivaldo
28/1/2006 22:19 | Looks good to me, impressive vol build up and breaking higher - its a good indicator for the future | haveagoodday |
