I will guarantee you won't get £40 and I speak as a holder. The current price should reflect the price the market expects a bidder to pay, weighted for the probability of a bid. So let's say the market thinks it's 50:50 whether a bid will be completed - it was trading around £8, now it's £11, so the market thinks if there is a 50:50 chance of a deal then the price is £14. If the market thinks there is an 80% chance of a deal (I reckon that is about right, there seems to be at least two buyers awash with cash and it is definitely in play) then the market thinks the bid price is around £12.

Personally I reckon the price if a bid comes it is £15-£20, which for me means this is a buy at these levels.

Fag packet speculation

Uipath has apprx 3 x earnings of PRSM.
Uipath m/c is apprx $32bn / £23.4bn.
£23.4bn / 3 = £7.8bn.
PRSM isn’t Uipath so say £7.8bn / 2 = £3.9bn.
£3.9bn / 96.79m = £40 per share.
Present share price £11.

Yes UK gems ignored.
I felt so sorry for the boss who tried so hard for SXX Sirius minerals.
It would have been a real flagship for this country just at the right time, yet they refused support and AAZ bought it for a song.

Bloomberg says Coast Capital, which owns 3%, has written a letter to PRSM setting out proposals for a restructuring and a US Listing instead of selling out to the bandits from private equity.

Fat chance Uk institutions will pass up the opportunity for a quick buck from a takeover.

I agree with you. Been in since 2016 and expected at least 35 pounds when US listing. It's understandable that bids come now, I think share price has been played by shorters, it's way too low compared to UIpath, also considering revenue and growth.
But I guess, this had to come on these levels.

I am of mixed feeling on this though - I think it's undervalued, even after today's surge, and it'll be irritating to be booted out of a long-term holding with potential for sustained capital growth. Shareholders will probably approve anything half-decent given the recent declines. And then in five years when it's worth multiples of its current value we'll all kick ourselves.

Also, did anyone find today's early gains a bit odd? I was looking for an explanation, and then when it came the price jumped another 30% - a bit of insider trading perhaps?

@yasX I hv mentioned last few weeks that weekly timeframe has made a Golden Cross now it is playing out 1450s possible short term with 1800s possible at which bid 2 be accepted any thoughts Sir?

I read this the other way... this could attract other bidders. Blue Prism is a great company and has a huge discount to UI Path's valuation.

Remember this? UK investors “don’t understand tech”... that's why a Nasdaq listing was in discussions. Management didn't like the current valuation so I think we will see a price that's more acceptable under "tech circumstances". I guess we are going to see a takeover at or above 1.400

I joined the party albeit only a 1000 shares on 25th June 2021 (post7639) & for what its worth, believe todays rns by PRSM was to make sure the company is not going to be taken out for peanuts. It also allows for others to join the party if they wish, thus share price action could be interesting.
