I use a tech program..it corrects these things in the first instance ... whether anyone cares or they don't ... no one else is required

Sorry I brought it up.
It's become boring.

I'm having great fun with my new drone. It takes dramatically good video.
Can't wait to stick the clips into elevate and make a story out of them.

If a Bird staff member was so bothered about spending time correcting "Join Tim Chaffee and I" to "Join Tim Chaffee and me", in order to placate the 0.1% of people who care, I would call for them to be immediately fired. We need people allocating their time to productive and consequential work.

I am all for detail..I am with you

... I noticed on the website , a small detail where a sentence started on one line and then strangely wrapped around into the next, totally unnecessarily, where it looked obvious to put the whole sentence on a fresh line

I too notice these little details... to me the detail always makes the difference

I am beginning to feel these days it all doesn't seem important, any more

The late Queen was a stickler for detail, to her every detail mattered

You are wrong!

Why?

Because it is the voice of an individual on social media not a business.

Individual expression trumps grammar in this case.

"good number ...nice...but ..what is the definition of "a meeting" ?£

If it is in Vegas, I guess a meeting could be sitting at a blackjack table together, or having a drink at the bar or equally I guess a party at or in a Spa. :-)

You have to wonder if Gen Z and the like care much about grammar or even spelling .... no one knows how to spell any more given spell check use and advertising using mis-spelt words everywhere ....anyway...

These days accusations regarding grammar errors and spelling mistakes are usually met with complaints about being discriminated against or moans about the grammar Police and such like

I suspect that the late Queen knew that with her passing her Queen´s English was going with her

According to my nephew you dont even have to know anything these days ...he asks why ..when there is Google and Wikipedia to tell you everything

I didnt quite have an answer for him !!

The truth is that on the most important question of all: "How many paying customers will sign up in the first year?" nobody on this BB has a clue. It's partly because we have no idea about timing of releases and the pay band variations. But mostly because we don't know who SR/MV may already have lined up, how they will promote it and what their real targets are for numbers.

But we do know that SR/MV have form and I doubt that MV in particular has been twiddling his thumbs waiting for the launch. So I will be placing my hopes in their hands.

They have added features since launch sorry ACCESS so that’s a clue😀

It’s not as basic as some think, hopefully the webinar will show you the starting power.

You make very good points. Maybe this stage is still very much testing the basics and running of the platform with a gradually increasing number of people.
I feel I would want to impress right from the off. There surely needs to be a "wow at first sight factor", and maybe that will come when they show a more complete platform.

Maybe there is another consideration relating to the full launch, as others have eluded to. As you say, clarity of the plan going forward would be very welcome and hopefully both reassuring and exciting.

Thanks for the grammar lesson. The mystery remains why they haven’t launched with the standard set of features (except for the ones that aren’t needed) so that no one calls it basic? If they were a startup I could understand - still busy building the tech. But they’ve been doing this in the pro-market for 20 years, so I’m still scratching my head. I can’t see the commercial benefit of people looking at going it’s very smooth but a bit basic, then never taking another look. What’s the harm in providing an editor with the core minimum features (which they’ve already built for the pro market) that puts them on a level with all the other pro-am systems - and layer in smoothness, cloud, collaboration, and extensibility, etc? What’s the benefit of/thinking behind launching with system where so many features are conspicuous by the absence? What’s the benefit of hiding the best features behind the paywall so that nobody knows they even exist or what they’ll get if they pay the extra money? I just can’t help feeling something doesn’t add up. I’m delighted that Sumit will be doing his webinar, but as it’s been pointed out on this thread that’s more of a market-facing activity. As a patient investor, I’d really appreciate understanding the strategy, as this is not what they communicated they would be doing …

Whilst I'm sure Sumit will both speak well and inform us about his vision for elevate.io I wonder whether users who are impressed by the free version are more interested in finding out when at least one of the paying versions will be made available. Shareholders will be interested in that too and if Sumit gives a date it will carry weight.
