We are the obvious player.

Their PR department should stick to making crisps.

From Tyrell.

With the focus now on producing 24-hour news and providing continuous sporting content, broadcasters, OB’s and sports clubs are having to change the way they produce and manage their content. Driven by an increasing audience demand for niche or off-grid types of sports and ever-evolving viewing behaviours. The Tyrell’s Take on Tour will help visitors to explore new opportunities and expand revenue streams.

Tyrell leads the way in live production having been the supplier of Clear-Com and LiveU for many years. Our strength is our vision when it comes to identifying game changers in the market with the likes of Intinor, ABonAir, Blackbird and Streamstar. We don’t just follow the obvious players in the market we identify the innovators.

It is quite usual for a drift back to the line after a breakout.
The line is sloping upwards so, although the breakout occurred just below 14p the line is now roughly at 14.25p so we may drift just a little more.
A close much below the line would be bearish but I am expecting a new thrust up towards my 20p target before such an event.

April 17th, 2018, London – Forbidden Technologies, is pleased to announce a preliminary collaboration with a leading Japanese telecommunications operator through its partnership with Dragon Touch Systems Inc.

Blackbird will be utilised in a specific part of the telco infrastructure to allow its B2B customers to edit and version content in the cloud. The proxy is continually uploaded to the Blackbird cloud and presented as growing files and easily accessible to reviewers and editors for daily collaboration. The team has the added advantage of speed providing viewing and remote capabilities which Blackbird offers without the bandwidth constraints.

This proxy-based cloud workflow offers enormous benefits of time management, collaboration efficiencies and flexibility to producers and broadcasters in the region.

Daisuke Matsuo, CEO at Dragon Touch Systems said, “Our customer required a powerful cloud video platform solution to process high resolution videos, and Forte’s ability to support multiple languages including Japanese, made it the perfect choice. I believe Blackbird Forte will serve as a catalyst for change in a traditional Japanese broadcast landscape”.

Forbidden CEO Ian McDonough says, “We’re delighted to announce this new deal through our partner, Dragon Touch Systems in Kanagawa, Japan. It represents a minor breakthrough in a major market. The customer has recognised the power of the platform and the ability to have a highly responsive workstation experience while working in the cloud thanks to the Blackbird codec”.

About Dragon Touch Systems

What happened to the Japanese Telco deal?

Or was this just more smoke and mirrors of something never to be mentioned again?

I agree - sort USA first. ROW will follow after.

It’s almost certain to have been shown to some industry VIP’s

I would imagine there minds were blown

One can now speculate, excitedly the reason for silence and a behind closed doors feel.

Well that’s one take!

Makes an interesting valuation question

I think we are rid of the flip/flops. They found a palladium mine.
They may fly to quality when they see how many shares and warrants floating.

Now isn’t the time to sell-out, nor to second-guess what’s going on behind the scenes/ with Google – the opportunity you claim is lost perhaps would’ve cannibalised a much larger one.

No

I don’t think a giant tech company would be buying our ‘business̵7; but the value Blackbird brings

I doubt Blackbird are ready/willing to sell off parts of the business and I know major shareholders have much higher expectations than £200m for the entire business. Blackbird needs to commercially prove itself before major offers and that requires multiple large contracts – they come exponentially and on the back of for example State Dept and high-profile visibility at IBC alongside Google.
In IM’s time the offering has been rationalised (is eva even any type of priority of the business?!), actual strategy put in place, wide-spanning global sales efforts developed and as we’ve seen recently the win of a large, high-profile, left field contract. More will undoubtedly follow. Now isn’t the time to sell-out, nor to second-guess what’s going on behind the scenes/ with Google – the opportunity you claim is lost perhaps would’ve cannibalised a much larger one.

Pat_cash,

Haven't sold, was quite positive for the last while but not happy to see Google going elsewhere for video clipping. We have Google's ear and a sale of eva with blackbird clipping would be game changing for us.

Another opportunity lost

Well, we have that £1m+ in billing on the balance sheet plus the Department of State monies to start being recognised on top of the day to day stuff.

We should be well over £1m in revenues for the year.

Been on the blackbird hype a while now, all your comments are quite interesting but don’t expect big numbers for some time yet.
My guess is ending 2019 with maybe a modest rise, unless google or a different global brand takes a large stake.
