03/7/2018 10:23 | I think same, sentiment is strong, but will they win any significant contract now? | marmar80
03/7/2018 10:07 | There maybe some change where the plastic element of the overall product is small | jmf69
03/7/2018 10:02 | The problem is that although it's anti plastic it's not pro bio and is unlikely to be so until bio is cheaper than plastic and the change over costs can be swallowed. | vaneric1
03/7/2018 09:53 | But tbf the market sentiment has never been so anti plastic. | jmf69
03/7/2018 09:50 | Many of us been waiting 9 yrs+ for that to be the case but never happens | begorrah88
02/7/2018 15:05 | So many opportunities in this space right now. Something big could appear anytime. | someuwin
27/6/2018 18:39 | Yes, all they need is to get some proper contract for their bioplastic. | marmar80
27/6/2018 14:46 | If Mines can't make money in the current anti plastic environment then I'll happily do the job for half his salary. The opportunities are huge here.... Just need to capitalise on them | jmf69
27/6/2018 14:36 | Don't tell me market makers have developed a conscience! | begorrah88
27/6/2018 14:27 | Can't get a quote to buy even 10 shares online | jmf69
21/6/2018 08:40 | Are these the same spaces that they paid a chunk of money to break the leases for a couple of years ago? | vaneric1
21/6/2018 07:17 | So Marchwood now full up of obsolete 'projects' stacked up in boxes all round the place [not biocomposting!] so more room needed to fill up and someone else to pay a rent to. Good old Mines No mention in BIOM's 'mission' to sell any of these products they produce. That might explain why Marchwood is full up. | begorrah88
19/6/2018 22:30 | Similarly FCF per share 2012 -66p2013 -123p2014 -39.6p2015 -34.6p2016 -2.5p2017 32.2pWith revenue growing at 37% this year so far (well at last reported point), they really do have a decent chance at good profits this year. | hydrus
19/6/2018 22:25 | Good find thanks. I bought a few more today. This is firmly in the 'hope' section of my portfolio but the risk/reward looks decent enough. Looking at the consistent increase year on year in net profit since 2012 gives some hope:2012 -£5.77m2013 -£2.55m2014 -£1.27m2015 -£0.73m2016 -£0.50m2017 -£0.23mThe recent statement from the Chairman does indicate they think they are on brink now of sustainable profitability. We shall see. If it is then this could be a very cheap entry price. | hydrus
19/6/2018 22:07 | Biome Bioplastics, a leading UK developer of intelligent, natural plastics, has opened a new research and development (R&D) unit in Southampton within a building provided by Meachers Global Logistics, one of the UK's leading independent providers of international freight and transport logistics services. This move supports Biome's work in developing bio-based and compostable alternatives to oil-based plastics. Expansion was necessary following increased interest from the market in novel approaches to plastic products. The new site doubles the size of the footprint of Biome's development capability and helps Biome to further its mission to produce bioplastics that can challenge the dominance of oil-based polymers, and ultimately replace them completely. Biome's R&D activities are focused on improving performance and reducing manufacturing costs, enabling the company to accelerate the adoption of natural plastics across a range of markets.Donna Simpson-Strange, Project Manager at Biome said: "To minimise downtime of its operations, we needed to ensure some of the advanced scientific equipment was carefully relocated from the head office in Marchwood to the new site in Nursling. The supportive and focused team at Meachers was on-hand to assist us at every stage, and our close working relationship meant that the new unit was operational in minimal time."Gary Whittle, Commercial Director Sales at Meachers said: ""Meachers Global Logistics are pleased to have strengthened our long-term partnership with Biome Bioplastics to include their R&D activities in one of our Southampton buildings. With the world looking for viable and sustainable alternatives to oil-based plastics, we are entering exciting times for our valued customer, as the profile of their product range has escalated and is of more importance and relevance than ever."Biome Bioplastics are internationally recognised for having developed the materials for the first biodegradable coffee pod, offering one of the only sustainable packaging alternatives in the single-serve market. | jmf69
