I concur that the first quarter results wern't fantastic but they aren't a disaster either, there is a long way to go this year and although I expect a fall in the share price today, I'm confident that IF the full year develops as planned the share price will be nearer £3 than £2....steady as she goes !

So, Biome bioplastics down on last year an the usual tosh about someone elses fault [us production runs]. No new sales of the 'new product' and all the same old guff about 'trials' that we've seen year after year after year with none of them ever generating revenue.

Looks like the Mines/Standen lifestyle is now being paid for by govt grants [worth noting that lignin - the thing they are getting the grants for, has gone very quiet]

Sales of £200k of Biome bioplastics after years & years of development & trials - pitiful.

Just wondering what the new product is?... In addition, a further temperature resistant product entered the commercial phase during 2015 which is expected to add substantial incremental revenues over the coming periods as the manufacturing phase takes hold...And who could the customer be?

Not that I know of

There was talk a long time ago about 'solo' using a biome bit in their lids and the coffee angle is mainly Rogers in the US in their capsules [part of the lid again is Biome I believe]

This was from a piece from edie.net on 26th March 2016

'Biome Bioplastics chief executive Paul Mines said: “There are high-tech materials being produced here in Britain that are available for market. We are currently producing bio-based materials for a number of large brands in the convenience coffee industry – such as cups, lids and pods – which can either be recycled or thrown away to compost with coffee grounds.

“The recent revelation of exactly how much landfill waste is being created show the urgent need for big brands to accelerate work in new, sustainable materials such as bioplastics, in order to respond to consumer concerns.”

funnily (or not) the same has happened to me since I got out at 1.43, no profit though, didn't see it getting back to break even at 11.35 !!!

It's recovered a fair bit since I dumped my lot in January at 1.35 but I've made a nice profit on the proceeds from that which I put into Tesco and Macfarlane.

Long may it continue, although the historic trading performance of this company has been appalling, if....and it's a big IF, the company are on a growth path, the returns could be quite substantial. Not many shares in issue and very few followers in the market.

Morning boldNothing much, a bit like the old days - a false down just to tug away at those packed away feelings of hope.Only surprised Mines hasn't put out a RNS saying he has noted the share price rise but knows of no reason for any positivity whatsoever in BIOM
