02/3/2006 07:48 | You may well be right about a possible reason for Wicks and Co's motives but I would imagine we'll have a rebuttal statement from them soon against the BLLM mgt circular and in which they should lay out their reasons for putting their men in charge and what they hope to achieve. My comments above are about the BLLM defence at this stage and how it is anything but robust which is hardly surprising... | scrapheap
01/3/2006 20:30 | as expected - what a load of whishywashy stuff - where's some stats about how the nav or share price have actually performed and how they've added value? They've also banged on about how the bulk of their investments have floated in recent results and yet mysteriously they are now going to conjure up 2 flotations - but we all know how last years floats made naff all difference to the share slide.. their historic 'profile raising, share consolidation idea, quarterly NAV updates' to reduce the discount has also been a total flop - all that happened was the NAV slumped further. I don't need to say again how that heralded quarterly NAV update has been dumped with no explanation - we presume cos the listed investees have struggled. Then there's their 'new' strategy to increase the share price over the medium to long term - no details how of course and not in the short term whatever it is. They've invested £700k but how much have they been paid over this period in benefits/pension/wag | scrapheap
