hahahaha, I remember this from yeasr ago when BLLM had just emerged from a CVA, and an argument raged on the Moneyextraboard (or was it Inverstorevolution?) and the price was 0 (zero).

Earth to earth
Ashes to ashes

(BTW, I hope none of those short-term creditors of BLLM/ENGI come knocking on the door for their loot)

interim results show that Billam has now managed to go all the way and now has a negative net asset value... it is the final ignominy for a stock which used to have a massive NAV premium over the share price.

Do you the think the bllm management know how valuable pyc is now?

Don't forget £1.9m of trade creditors, short term borrowings and other payables, and £0.3m of long term debt; yes, offset by £2.9m of assets, but a dodgy balance sheet nevertheless and basically everything staked on funding a profit-share in a housing development in Northamptonshire ! Just another uneconomic investment company, the directors of which are probably very happy to keep it going until the cash runs out.

Well the disposal will have realised something in excess £300k and the remaining holding of 1m shares in CYH at the close today are worth circa £400k, yet BLLM has a market cap of £300k. I can see how they might believe that these funds could be better used elsewhere at this juncture.

They sell the best holdings they have at the lowest price they can get...how stupid are they?
Posted at 07/6/2008 10:35 by colcard
Billam holders would be still be better off flogging BLLM and buying CYH - which to my mind is still their only good investment to date. I sold BLLM years ago and bought CYH and recouped my losses on BLLM plus a lot more. Looks to me that CYH shares are now in position to grow sharply again soon. While BLLM hold 7% of CYH, your money's a better bet there. Billam AG also hold 3% of Cyh. All IMHO DYOR

the share price has been low for too many years now for the market to be wrong about it...............
