The spread is as bad as I've ever seen...its criminal....

Noone in his/her right mind would touch this with an extended bargepole.

Any thoughts regarding the change of nomad and broker, could it be related to the sector focus adopted by Libertas? Presumably it was prompted by the issues faced by Dawnay Day.

The most worrying aspect Bearable is that Stephen Wicks has taken a charge over all the assets and is selling them down..I wonder where the last £325,000 from the sale of CYH Salaries I guess in which case you would be right.

Gentlemen and Ladies. The new "lot" have bought themselves a well paid job and will continue to take 100,000 pounds plus until ,as tiredoldbroker said "until the cash runs out".
We,ve all been mugged.ive tried to get out but my daughter has taken from the 6th of Dec 2007 to get the shares transferred to her name coz i no longer have or am able to open a new trading account.Dec 10p today 2p.NOT BAD EH?
Still im awaiting the transfer forms to be signed and sent back to UK as they dont accept an emailed copy of signature.I think the forms have been lost in the post along with another letter sent over a month ago.

No I am sure they dont. This does look like a real basket case now.The "new crowd" have done nothing to ease the pain of the years of losses.

Don't forget £1.9m of trade creditors, short term borrowings and other payables, and £0.3m of long term debt; yes, offset by £2.9m of assets, but a dodgy balance sheet nevertheless and basically everything staked on funding a profit-share in a housing development in Northamptonshire ! Just another uneconomic investment company, the directors of which are probably very happy to keep it going until the cash runs out.

Well the disposal will have realised something in excess £300k and the remaining holding of 1m shares in CYH at the close today are worth circa £400k, yet BLLM has a market cap of £300k. I can see how they might believe that these funds could be better used elsewhere at this juncture.

does anyone know exactly what the relationship Billam and Billam AG have other than the fact Billam owe Billam AG lots of money and they seem to hold shares in the same companies?

Final results out just in time today for Dec 31 07 to avoid being suspended. They are predictably diabolical, NAV down to 6.6p or just few hundred K now.

Of course true to form their most recent investment opportunity where they ploughed the money they borrowed from Mr Wicks at 'commercial' rates is that exciting growth sector of...

housebuilding (via mezzanine finance).

Pure class.

Billam holders would be still be better off flogging BLLM and buying CYH - which to my mind is still their only good investment to date. I sold BLLM years ago and bought CYH and recouped my losses on BLLM plus a lot more. Looks to me that CYH shares are now in position to grow sharply again soon. While BLLM hold 7% of CYH, your money's a better bet there. Billam AG also hold 3% of Cyh. All IMHO DYOR
