08/9/2007 08:28 | Shed loads of buys after time. 200000 at £2.40 | davidoj
07/9/2007 18:32 | Just added at 230.75p. Not the best price of the day though. | ![]() watwungyi
07/9/2007 15:00 | I think this is it unless we have something nasty lurking out there...... | markinthepark
07/9/2007 14:58 | Buy on any fallback is my advice mark. | ![]() mitzis
07/9/2007 14:56 | Now it's looking like a buy again...... | markinthepark

07/9/2007 14:14 | doesnt look like a defensive stock does it ;0( | pictureframe
07/9/2007 12:59 | Someone said this is a 1 billion company and I agree this recent fall is a great opportunity to add some more shares after all it this is one of the best defensive shares in the market I'm short of banks shares and long on oils and Biffa. Any bid would have to come in at 300p and thats still cheap. | ![]() mitzis
07/9/2007 12:47 | Not really....the share price is retracing to where it was before the good news items we saw recently on director buys, the press coverage/tip and the takeover rumour....... | markinthepark
07/9/2007 10:30 | Some tasty looking buys going through here today and above ask prices...... | markinthepark
07/9/2007 10:29 | the band, i don't quite get what you mean. the net tangible asset is about 180 -190p. but the company is worth of course much more than that. their mareket cap at today price is around #0.8 billions. but if a competitor wanted to buy, it would need to pay a good will in excess of #300 millions. we got about 30 to 40% of its true value. B is for billions. M is for millions. | ![]() watwungyi
07/9/2007 08:50 | markinthepark....... | ![]() seagreen
07/9/2007 08:45 | Sorry, wat, you lost me on the last bit. Did you mean 2.18 or is £1.1B a financial term they use in the far east :o) | ![]() theband
06/9/2007 20:02 | 220 is a confirmed support. Anywhere near is a buy or add. i'm adding when we got near next time around. but what if it breaks that support? i won't sell. find a new support and add again. good management, defensive nature of this business and increasing dividend yield all attractive to me. i believe it's worth more than £1.1B. Net tangible asset around 180 - 190 so plenty of upside potential. | ![]() watwungyi
06/9/2007 17:33 | Always tricky trying to pick the bottom in any share (likewise the top too). This is difficult to call either way but the overall signs remain good....what we can't determine is market conditions/perceptio | markinthepark
06/9/2007 16:15 | If you look at the chart you can see that some people could have made an easy 10%+ in no time at all here recently..... | markinthepark
06/9/2007 16:08 | I too believe director buying was a good sign - even if they believe a take over possible and want to cash in. I hope you are right about the profit takers. | ![]() peterz
06/9/2007 16:04 | BIFFA does have debt no doubt about that but the market has being seeing positive signs through directors buying, the recommendation in the torygraph and now bid speculation regarding possible french interest....that helped slow anbd eventually stop the never ending decline in the share price and it recovered from th high teens back up to the mid 250s....now it's rectracing some of those gains as people cash in quick profits..... | markinthepark
06/9/2007 15:42 | More likely to be connected to dept. Is Biffa dependent on loans? | ![]() peterz
06/9/2007 15:27 | seagreen...I posted the newspaper stories on that here yesterday...... | markinthepark
06/9/2007 15:24 | I am with clintonville | ![]() seagreen
06/9/2007 15:10 | Hi The law is about to change on collection of waste it will be sorted before going to land fill. if firms leave it to collectors the price will go up? for collections. The waste will be charged land fill tax then sorted before tipping. IMO you only pay tax on what you tip can you see the smaller skip firm managing with no transfer stations? Profits about to sore. David | davidoj
06/9/2007 14:31 | I have given to believe that the market thinks Biff may have debt and because of all this debt nerveousness they have been hit every time the debt worry tree is shaken.!!!!!!!!!!!!! | ![]() 7767 |
