I am still a buyer pictureframe plenty of upside from 238p to 345p..shares are oversold due to the rumours of a profit warning which did not materialise.

Don't rubbish Biffa shares

Shares in Biffa (238.25p), the waste management business spun out of Severn Trent last October have had a torrid time in recent months. The stock, which listed at 260p, has fallen more than 30 per cent since the company announced its preliminary results in June, and some 17 per cent since the market correction. We believe the shares have been oversold and reiterate our "buy" recommendation of eight weeks ago.

Waste management as an industry should be relatively immune to any downturn in the economy. Biffa has also had a good start to the year; it collects more than 4m tonnes of waste each year from around 80,000 commercial customers and 1m households. Analysts at Citigroup have a price target of 345p on the shares and the company is forecast to grow earnings per share by around 16 per cent in 2009 and 2010. Its shares are trading on a price earnings multiple of just 14.4 times for 2008, a discount to its peers. Biffa's directors have also backed the company, buying around £340,000 worth of shares in the last two months. We think readers should follow their example and keep buying.

Scratchy you know about chart patterns what actually is a Depeche?
Itchy it`s based on the principle of Everything Counts in large amounts
I see but Scratchy People Are People they need to Get The Balance Right
I know that Itchy but investors Just Can`t Get Enough and they want a New Life. But,at the end of the day, if they lose they`ll have to Leave in Silence.

Well i can see some objects in the yard and they definately look like the bin variety!
Look Itchy i`m an investor not a binman.I`m too busy working out my charts ,the two hundred day moving average,the medium,the mode,the Depeche.Is it an upward trend,a downward trend or a bit in the middle trend,the head and shoulders,the timotei or whether a cup and handle and saucer are forming.It`s not easy you know!

Chart looks more positive today...............a double bottom has suddenly appeared and, for the first time, the rise is sharper than the last leg of the fall. Fingers crossed!

I saw 214, the only thing I could do was open a 6 month spread long for not much money.

Trouble is, on the day it hit 214, it looked like the world might be ending.

Faith. Damn straight. Faith and a fair amount of luck that the madness would sort itself out (short term at least, if the feds dont drop the rate were almost back to sq1).
