Nickel_Investor closed his short on LSE.

Logs has (for now).

Tomwinsagain has left.

It does feel like we’ve reached an inflection point. Here’s to the new decade (sorry GN I’ll be good now 😇).

And Logs tbf you played a blinder over the last 6 months. 1-1 given the great first half of last year. We’ll go easy on you next year.

Chill everyone....each to their own position as long as they don't try to egotistically trump the other....

Enjoy the end of the decade

Tbf he finally declared he had been and may be (I.e no longer and keeping an eye on the charts) short yesterday.

But if he’s sold out on his short position... that makes him a liar by his own standards!! What a tossing liar, surely he should never buy back his short! He should be in it for the long haul! Even selling 4% of his short makes him a liar... we can’t trust a word you say Loggy by your own standards. Or does it not matter that the founders are human?

But they are all part of the UK spin out machine. You never lose as you say because you work on inside information .What will happen here is you will comeback and say you are HAPPY to back BIDS now that JD has moved on.Let's see what happens

Upfronts log, that has been explained. You know little about the industry, We witnessed the amount of ads running through the games which shows how extensive the testing was. He had every right to think it would come in prior to the end of Q4. With hindsight it looks naive. As it's the first of its kind clearly taking a bit longer to work out the finer points. We don't all operate with hindsight do we log... One deal more than capable of smashing the year revenue target.

But we have seen it all before. You are just part of the establishment game. The objective has always been how to move JD out.And in the same old manner you take to calling him a liar. And like the other so called 'liars' he will be found suitable employment within the establishment.

5 years of work and pulling out only 300k is fair reward in my book. It's a fraction of their holding, you choose to ignore the details. Which is why you have got this one wrong. You spent all weekend posting nonsense and it goes up 15%

Is Apple worth 1 trillion?

I bought in at 500m believing so. Sold out now.

Pretty irrelevant here though. I don’t wheel my success stories out to prove that my thinking is right on any particular share.

You are very arrogant. What about your not so success stories?

I take JD at his word that he was waiting on the upfront deal being signed and these contracts are complex and time consuming to get approved.

Then I'm afraid you are very gullible. The guy knew for all of 2019 that the £5.9m reveue number was totally unachievable. They have real-time stats and by his own admission they knew that they were only doing very small test revenues (still are). He continued to ramp and mislead via VOX and other channels until he was forced to reveal the true number which was virtually zero.

Worse still he off loaded a huge amount of stock with the FD.

Anyone who would trust that sort of behaviour needs to see a head doctor.

Unfortunately we are left with a company just like TSI who have lost all TRUST and nothing is certain until it happens.I have no doubt something very special is happening with BOTH but it wont happen without personnel changes

I was short Thomas Cook and made a fortune as it went to zero. It was clearly a broken business with too much debt.

Scared of embracing the future? What a load of tosh.

BTW people have been telling me I didn't know what I was doing with CTAG, AFPO, DEB, and countless others. It's the normal arogant reply from rookie investors who think this time is different.

When the CEO lies and ramps and sells down his own shares off the back of these lies and ramps it never ends well.

I believe this separate contract will come in and 6m is very small amount in the scheme of things. https://www.statista.com/statistics/614254/scatter-upront-tv-ad-spend-usa/ It's all rosey my friend

How did you value Thomas Cook log? Number of hotels, number of planes and proven business model from 1841. You're clearly scared of embracing the future log, stick to more traditional businesses that you can understand. You're out of your depth and the little log will be turn to charcoal in next few months

I made my feelings clear about the gang attacking JD and that selling stock when he did made him complicit. We need to see what happens next and who comes in/goes out at board level plus who is taking control.I will apologise if I have it wrong. .I'm absolutely calling log a 100% liar

Nah, if a company has £3m in the bank and is run by a ‘liar’ the company is still worth at least £3m.

The BOD have a fiduciary duty to shareholders and if they believe he’s a liar then he’ll be removed as per good governance (not a conspiracy Aiden). What you are describing is the agent-principle problem which should be separated from valuation.

I’m not entirely sure where to plug ‘liar’ into my valuation calcs... it’s not a very objective metric is it? Because I for one don’t believe he is a liar and that means we’d have to discount that element by at least 50%.

If you read what I wrote not what you think I write you wouldn't reach the same conclusions.

I'm not using book values to value BIDS. The main reason I think its it's worth virtually zero is because the CEO lies and ramps and sells all his free shares he can to mug investors before eventually admitting he's failed to produce any revenue.

Growth companies grow. BIDS just burns cash and shows no growth. It's a startup with an unproven business model run by a liar. Most sane people would value that at zero.

Well he’s absolutely barmy if he’s using book value as his methodology to back up his shorting thesis.

S&P500 and Nasdaq run at around 4x book value - that gives us a nice bottom of £17m according to his book value calculation.

Where we differ to him is that we value future growth (which gives him the volatility he requires) but LOGS only sees hard cash in the bank and some receivables. A very cold analytical mind.
