I personally don’t think it needed clarification.

Oh well, it’s a positive clarification so the market will like it.

Winni will have a field day with it I'm afraid - it's more manna from heaven. The ceo needs to go imo. His running of the company in its maturing stage has shown that he is completely out of his depth. From comms to pr; it is quickly becoming a laughing stock after a very bright development stage.

Thanks Gen and Muses, makes sense, I think you mentioned yesterday that is how you had read the accounts previously. it just got lost in the turmoil.

having been married for 20 years, i have changed my approach to communication, for a long time now don't mention positive or negative swings, just provide reassurance when asked( sounds a bit like BIDS!!)

Really struggling to keep up with the board these last few days, but great to see the usual suspects still going strong today. GN, I don't think anyone really knows that for sure, probably for good reason. Doesn't stop the gang using things that must be kept in house as a stick to beat us with though. As a guess I would say agency pays us gross, we keep a quarter or third or whatever, and then we pay developer their share. As has been said though, this could be one agency of many, and what do we think the ten mil from this one could grow into in year three for example? Exciting times all round. Bring on the new games, prove it up on that scale and make it impossible for the top top games to avoid.

Global,

Ad agency XYZ will charge maybe 10% to brand so their numbers will be more like £11m charged to brands (Dentsu revenue)

Agency pays bids £10m (Bids revenue)

Bids pays £7.5m (or what ever the share is) to game developer (BIDS COGS)

Bids retains gross margins of £2.5m.

My understanding based on annual accounts.

And yes adorling... you’d caveat everything after this year wouldn’t you?

now that the noise has settled after the last couple of days and after this latest rns can we have a sensible discussion about this 10m figure.

if it is recognised in BIDS accounts does that mean it is all bids share of the ad spend, i.e does Bids have to pass on 50/60/70/80% whatever to the gaming company or does the up to 10m mean bids 20%/etc share. i.e do the agency think there is an adspend by their clients of 10m or 50m?

client pays agency to place ads in games,
agency pays bids OR agency pays bids and game developer
bids then shares revenue with developer (and pubguard/ and others?
