Hazl,

A well written article, but no surprise the author was a Burford shareholder.

I would suggest that the confidence he thinks has just been eroded went a long time ago, at the time of the Langbar suspension, where all processsing sell PI trades were cancelled, but all buy trades were executed!

A similar request to see the trades book was denied then too, and looked an even more blatant example than Burford.

I can see the judge's point, but it just looks bad to the PI, who always gets the rough end of the wedge where dealings with the city are concerned, IMHO.

The price declines clearly shows that the shorters do not understand the detailed estimated discounted cashflow produced by the broker. They don't just make it up you know!

The problem we have here is that no institution will go near this with the current management.

It talks about programmatic advertising .
I hadn't appreciated that already 40% are in that format and will be expected to grow.

Apparently the 'majority of advertisers and marketers already see programmatic as the superior channel when it comes to performance technology, and generally advertisers are also more likely to see programmatic as a better channel for research and insights.'

Raconteur.net

'At the same time, these consumers are by necessity, becoming familiar with reesearching and buying goods online. It's highly likely this will be a habit that outlasts lockdown and it's a huge opportunity for advertisers.'

interesting piece in the Raconteur.net today.
References to the future and the changes that have so rapidly happened and seem destined to stay in some cases.

By the end of the year, then we expect to see some profits....in the meantime...James seems to be interviewed by people all over the place.
I can only assume he is getting quite a reputation!

Takes a while to build up a good firm.

Revered by many ,frequently interviewed as an expert, JDraper has chosen to 'get everything in place' before attempting to make a profit. This where you people fall down and where l think shorting is so wrong , targeting firms just starting out. Many companies are delighted to secure loans just to start a business ,yet here we have a relative ly new firm with a very, very innovative idea which seems to have everybody talking and yet people as above ,expect them to be making a profit when they are just putting the building blocks in place! Shame on you!IMO

'The greater interest in gaming may accelerate a shift – already underway – towards the delivery of games via mobile and cloud-based platforms. Increasingly, even blockbuster titles are available on mobile devices. Cloud gaming, meanwhile, enables consumers to play streamed games across devices, often without the need for expensive hardware. 'Finally, the pandemic may lead to the normalization of esports. Analysts have described esports as being “popularized and legitimized in an unpredictable and profound way”, thanks to the unprecedented (and accidental) adoption of esports by broadcasters, leagues and athletes seeking to engage fans. “Among younger demographic groups, a prolonged shutdown for traditional sports leagues may drive more fans to esports on a regular basis – which globally would represent tens of millions of new consumers for the industry”, says Sepso.
