10/4/2007 14:33 | It does appear that like UMN, BKY resource is near the surface. | ![]() papillon
10/4/2007 14:30 | QS9, UMN has 236 MM lbs of U (measured, indicated and inferred), though a large chunk of that is inferred. UMN grades are low but its a open cast, carbonate heap leach operation, so extraction costs will be low. Also UMN has a fair chunk of its funding already in place. Also it will start trial producing in late 2007 and full scale production will start in late 2008. I dont think you can compare BKY to UMN. BKY could be years away from producing. | ![]() papillon
10/4/2007 13:24 | UMN now up nearly 10% and capitalised at £820mish.....this one capitalised at £75mish....what is the difference on Uranium resources has anyone done the calcs? Be interested to see why BKY is a tenth the value.....ta | ![]() qs9

10/4/2007 08:20 | obviously news was out pre-announcement by looks of chart, but at c.£75m market cap, with uranium prices going through the roof, this looks very very interesting....any holders? Views on fair value of stock? UMN is now worth £800m+ not sure comparable resources estimates etc to get view on BKY..but am in for the ride.... | ![]() qs9
10/4/2007 08:15 | Drilling results this morning 11.9m tonnes JORC etc etc....anyone got a view on the potential vs the £75mish market cap??? Uranium being a "hot" sector and prices going through the roof, this does look very interesting...... views please???? | ![]() qs9

05/4/2007 07:22 | Working in Spain can be a nightmare for miners, but who knows? They have just appointed Scott Yelland as COO - he is a fairly prominent mining engineer with previous experience of Spain. This is a risky play, but could do well in the current U boom. See management notes of caution from the Jan 07 drilling RNS the results of the first confirmatory drill hole at the Company's Retortillo deposit in Salamanca Province, Spain. Vertical diamond core hole RTO-001 is located within the best area of mineralisation, approximately equidistant from four diamond holes drilled by previous explorers on a 50m x50m grid. It was completed to a depth of 97m immediately prior to the Christmas/New Year break. Assay results include the following intersections at a 0.02% U3O8 cut-off: 19.4m to 33.2m - 13.8m @ 0.216% U3O8 46.8m to 52.0m - 5.2m @ 0.073% U3O8 67.0m to 73.0m - 6.0m @ 0.095% U3O8 These results are an encouraging start to the validation of previous diamond and RC drilling of the deposit and appear to better those from the surrounding four holes. However, they should not be considered representative of mineralisation throughout the deposit. SUBSTANTIAL FURTHER DRILLING IS REQUIRED TO TEST THE EXTENT, CONTINUITY AND TENOR OF MINERALISATION, AND THE DIRECTORS STRONGLY ADVISE CAUTION IN INTERPRETING THESE INITIAL RESULTS. The Board appears quite strong including an interesting (influential?) Spaniard. They have a strategic alliance with Areva which is encouraging but there are also a lot of these alliances. Approx 73m shares outstanding. | ![]() wassapper |
