Well, at least this company's board of directors are interested in the share price. Presumably it's to do with incentivising the Partners.

Because every partner is on a huge wedge as it is and they are used to being bully boys when they want to be.

Why don't the options incentivise?

Results are better than I'd expected, with good EPS and divi. My main concern is that they shouldn't be seeking further acquisitions IMHO. Now is the time to consolidate and reduce debt.

Its all down to sentiment IMO. In a bearish environment that's what its worth, like many, many others. Same results in a bullish environment and the price would be much higher. So the share price has nothing whatsoever to do with value. I can understand those who will negate everything they achieve as they've been hammered, but things do change.

so great results and a promising future - results better than last year, when the share price was £1 , and much better than 2 years ago, when it was £2 ....... can someone explain the logic to me !!

Couldn't agree more. It's ironic that an administrator can't see value in consolidation

how about less acquisitions and more return on (or even of) investment?

The board seem determined to spend the £18 million loan facility as quickly as possible. An acquisition, new offshore office and teaming agreement all anounced very quickly. Is this why the financial officer is moving on?

Just wondering if this:

"unsecured banking facilities totalling GBP35.0m, comprising four year committed revolving credit facilities totalling GBP30.0m and a GBP5.0m overdraft facility...leaving GBP18.8m of headroom within the new banking facilities. Total net debt, including all sources of finance, is GBP20.6m at 30 April 2010.
We are pleased to report...that we have successfully concluded our refinancing, which will enable us to consider both organic investment and acquisition opportunities, principally in the insolvency and restructuring sector."

is related to this?:

"The Group announces that John Gittins, Chief Financial Officer, has accepted a position as Finance Director of NCC Group plc."

No reason for this fall? it seems to be drifting down markedly. I think this is ripe for a takeover

BTW - as a rule, accountancy firms are purchased, in private transactions, for normally 1 x turnover - seems we are about there for BEG.

Accountancy firm on 25 x earnings?

Man live - and the market is supposed to be rational.

Informer, from my City time, I'll tell you a possible reason. Big seller comes along, say 50,000 shares, prepared to sell at any price on a bad day. House Broker panics and calls company saying this will hit the price. Someone steps in to buy them, not ncessarily cos is the right timing, but to keep a line of stock off the market.

Bit cynical, but it does happen.

Alternatively, he thinks they are cheap..........but may stay so for a while

Agreed - but why does a supposed intelligent man with slightly more inside info than us mere mortals invest £50k of his hard earned dosh with the intention of making a profit - would you risk 50k on this lot ??
