Don't waste your time, at best it is a hold at these levels, far better opportunities elsewhere.

Interesting post hosede-if you feel BP is a better bet, I'd say your more than welcome to it. I feel divi more sustainable here than the question marks over oil price/BP ability to pay even the same divi over next two years. You pays your money etc etc....Bigger question surely, what in 2 years time for both?

And yes, I know the difference in size/sectors etc. Interesting note from RBS today talking about a company liqiudated recently called Wreckin and Beg the second busiest liquidation business in Scotland, probably behind someone like Deloitte, who got the job.

For info; there was a smallish article in yesterday's Sunday Times' Business section (p.3) by Ben Marlow titled "1,600 property firms face ruin" which referred to info derived from Begbies Traynor a few times.

It would need to increase earnings by 100% a year for two years - and the half year trading statement showed no sign of that happening

Had a look at this, but if you want something safe/defensive why would buy this on a PE of 26 and a 2.4% yield, when you could by BP (for example) on a PE under 6 and 8.2% yield? Doesn't make any sense to me!

Got to be time to buy very soon.
Spread narrowing, lots of negative (positive) newsflow about biz going bust.
Might have a dabble on Monday

A least we had a decent bounce from the early low. Let's hope that we don't suffer too much selling tomorrow.

Same here - dipped in at 111. Got my money back so far but will get out at end of today and try and make a small amount. I just thought there seem to be a bounce back after the big price drop today and thought with a bit of luck it might correct itself.
