12/10/2022 08:58 | I can't see any rational reason for recent falls, as from every metric I can find, trading really ought to be ahead of broker forecasts. As for acquisitions, I believe they have already acquired the biggest independent insolvency companies, so any further acquisitions in that field would have to be smaller. | jonesj
11/10/2022 14:50 | Interesting thought rimau1. Nice to see a BB that is full of speculation and no stabbing each other! | gswredland
11/10/2022 14:42 | Interesting thought about possible placing. Yesterday's fall was uncomfortable. I wondered if it was a tree shake. | tim1478
11/10/2022 06:24 | Complete guess work but given we had a bullish TU a few weeks back, and are firmly in acquisition mode inless we have a large seller I would guess that we have a chunky acquisition in the pipeline that may require a placing? Only explanation i can think of. If true it feels like this is the level for the placing and we are now on 12x forward earnings and a 3% dividend which is excellent value. I added to my holding yesterday. | rimau1
10/10/2022 14:48 | I keep buying and selling this one when I think it's a keep forever sort of stock, shame the divi isn't greater. | fozzie
10/10/2022 14:05 | I get top slicing, and if other stuff gets cheaper then this looks more expensive, macro flows out of uk equity etc... but this just looks bizarre against a horrific situation we find ourselves in. I hope it goes down a bit more as I'll top up, even though I have far too much of this stock | steadyaway1
10/10/2022 13:45 | Just beg's turn to be bashed. Apparently no safe havens atm. Suet | suetballs
10/10/2022 13:29 | Hello hello... looking cheap again. Any ideas on reason for move down? | steadyaway1

03/10/2022 12:07 | Julie Palmer, Julian Pitts and Andrew Hook of Begbies Traynor were appointed as Joint Administrators over WRFC Trading and Receivers over Sixways Stadium. | melody9999
23/9/2022 09:28 | I think big gains over the next few years will be from acquiring restructuring practices at sensible rates...from increasing free cash flow. So base business profitability increasing from worsening economic situation, and acquired businesses being integrated well. | steadyaway1
22/9/2022 10:46 | Needs to move through 150 technically but surely only a matter of time | daneswooddynamo
22/9/2022 08:07 | Good statement off epic BEG begbies this morning | 2bluelynn
22/9/2022 07:42 | Don't think this statement could realistically be any more positive. Nobody upgrades at this early stage of the year. Comment re bigger, read more profitable admins etc is telling, as that is their near term strategic aim with London-based acq. I think 2023 and 2024 will be very hard, unlike fall out from 2008 when QE came in to prop up failing businesses with artificially low rates. | steadyaway1
22/9/2022 06:55 | Expanding rapidly. Being nett cash is reassuring in a rapidly rising interest rate environment. Still looking like a long term winner. | this_is_me
22/9/2022 06:46 | Agree podgyted. BEG is down with the rest of the market, but looks like there's plenty of work in the pipeline. Sad generally, but I suspect the govnt's energy bail out for business won't be enough and we'll see more liquidations coming. | 2vdm
21/9/2022 16:33 | Who knows? Will start to become apparent with the AGM statement tomorrow. Even if that is good who knows how the market will react? But this is counter-cyclical on about 60% of its business. Liquidations and administrations are on the increase. Good to have as part of the portfolio. I think I'm right in saying that this has not yet reached the share price highs of the last recession. | podgyted
20/9/2022 10:11 | Has this topped now. ive had a good run with Begbies. maybe its time to sell but as others have said the UK outlook is worsening day by day | investing2retire
16/9/2022 06:08 | Read across from FRPs update yesterday? Who knows...The UK's outlook worsens by the day, so this is one holding I'm not worried about. | steadyaway1
15/9/2022 21:31 | Just the market maybe ? | 2bluelynn
15/9/2022 18:14 | why the fall here ? | jeanesy
12/9/2022 13:40 | Unfortunately this is not currently reflected in the current share price | route1
12/9/2022 10:37 | • Avonside Group Services Limited, the UK’s largest roofing contractor, which provided specialist roofing, energy and plumbing services operating through 39 branches across three divisions - Avonside Roofing, Avonside Energy and Avonside Plumbing - entered administration on 7 September. The Group, which employed 456 people, cited a period of disrupted trading during the pandemic, margin squeeze, the impact of underperforming divisions and financial reporting issues as the main drivers behind the administration. Joint administrators Kirstie Provan and Gary Shankland of Begbies Traynor have secured the sale of nine Avonside Roofing branches to an undisclosed industry buyer, preserving 79 jobs. The joint administrators were unable to find suitable buyers for the remaining Roofing and Plumbing sites within the Group, which are expected to be closed imminently. The Group’s Energy division continues to operate out of its seven branches, and a sale is expected to be concluded in the near term. ____________________ | melody9999
