Indeed, Zvi said this would be a game changer, but it's all gone quiet.

>echo.... Maybe you are correct. CityFibre is indeed a large deal. Remember its Fibre that not only connects individuals themselves directly but more importantly provides other providers the infrastructure for their clients.
I doubt they have an inkling in Israel as to the significance of all of this.

On a brief aside as I mentioned we have end to end fibre where I live in Eastern Canada. Ironically whilst a lot of homes have fast internet in Canada its not necessarily end to end Fibre.

In the US where Telco systems is based they dam sure are not up to speed.
Most providers use a bunch of different data movers along the way and then connect the end user up with some copper for the last yard, everyone needs to get off the bullet train and get a tuk tuk to their final destination. Same with data FFS.

Heres a link explaining CityFibre.

I know that I have advocated for a major acquisition as the most likely reason for this awful radio silence, but I've change my mind: I think the most probable cause is right in front of us: CityFibre. Certainly the 6months Ariel admitted to have been working on the first part of this deal (whether pilot or beta-test) would comport perfectly with the time the buyback mysteriously stopped of course. Now if you consider the insights FSE has provided in his most recent post about just how much more advanced Edgility's product offering may be than the market realises, then that could explain why the 11 July RNS unveiling the CityFibre partnership for the first time didn't result in a break in the radio silence and a resumption of the buyback: namely, that the Company has a reasonable expectation of a further important development in the partnership coming soon that for now, is keeping everyone 'inside'. And almost certainly the most likely event that would fit the bill both in terms of business development and being of sufficient significance to continue the radio silence-no buyback, would be the pilot program/beta test resulting in a formal contract with CityFibre. Too simple? Maybe. But then sometimes it can help to invoke Occam and his razor when you would otherwise be pulling your hair out.

1,874,007 NIS traded on TASE yesterday and virtually no volume on LSE particularly given the difference in the market size.

I watched the Ariel Efrati interview again. City Fibre were in negotiations with Telco for @6months. Telco are talking to several other major players and I get the distinct impression that Edgily is very much a finished product ready for deployment so the roll out time is reduced to somewhat minor tweaking to suit perspective clients.
I am lost for words as to why this is not garnering more interest but its not.

The company has become shrouded in mystery and inevitable suspicion with unending speculation as to what they are going to do next.
The Russel index fiasco made listing on LSE virtually pointless.
I dont care if they buy back shares or not but dont say you intend to and then do nothing.
Essentially the company and their advisors have created a situation where there are too many unanswered questions.
Management need to communicate with shareholders because investors are willing to take a chance but not willing to bet on the unknown.

BATM share price has slid against a background of excellent results, progress in all divisions and plenty of cash on hand.
I have never seen any company share price behave this way.

oooops. Sandy - that's off by a factor of 10. BATM has 440.5 millions shares, not billion, so the $67.8m (£57.5m) cash - which is likely a conservative figure as the company continues to trade profitably - is closer to 13p/share, or over 1/3 of the market cap. In other words, stock's real cheap down here.....

Sandy FY2021 the cash and financial assets was $67.8m. With around 44bn shares that's very roughly 1p per share

Out of interest how much cash per share on the balance sheet?

LM for what its worth my theory is that the share buyback was stopped because Marom wants to buy out the bio business and sell the telco business. He'd prefer to keep the cash on the balance sheet. I have no hard evidence but the lack of information smells of deals behind closed doors. Lombard Odier is the largest shareholder so will want a suitable conclusion. My guess is 50p per share. Hopefully its higher but with the current price around 35p a 30% uplift to buy the shares would be 45p so maybe 50p.
All my opinion so DYOR

FSE I'm impressed with your devotion to BATM. For me its a dog.I'm holding in the belief that it will be a private buyout by Marom and I'll get 50p per share.

The volumes on TASE are larger than on LSE and given the size of the market thats a large disparity. I am not sure if TASE is guided by disclosure the same way LSE is ?
It seems as if there is a large seller in the frame and has been for quite some time.
Thats appears to hold the price back every time we try to rally.

Edgility have quite a list of clients now at different stages of acceptance. There are now Edgility enabled devices. Major companies like Nexcom and Advantech are now on board with all of this and it is not pie in the sky.
Telco CEO expects further partnerships which they obviously can not comment on until its final but the time frame to adopt new clients will be significantly shortened.
What I am saying is that this is not going to drag on from this stage.

The latest City Fibre news is just shrugged off. Its past the development stage and is being rolled out to select users. At this point in its history Telco systems and City Fibre have a committed interest to get the system functioning to best advantage.
Its actually going at some what break next speed although City Fibre are selling to providers that have clients themselves and that is what is taking some extra stages.

Edgility Revenue as I have said is cumulative and its effect is only just starting to be reflected in sales. Its not going to ring any bells with the next set of results revenue wise but as commented this is new revenue from an added source.

The share price behaviour though is beyond any explanation I or anyone else can provide.
