11/7/2022 16:58 | FSE.Thanks for that explanation. It certainly seems they are an important link in future networks and private networks with a lot of optionality around requirements. They are racking up some very credible partners which will encourage others to their door one hopes too. They have been talking with CityFibre for six months and I'm sure they are fully aware of Edgility OS capability against any peers before agreeing to move forward. All seems good ..though not communicated particularly well..always good if you can attach some estimate of potential returns when rolled out to even a small user group so one can see the potential as its built out.FSE not much in SC comment above releases and proactive..nothing new. Last line might give folks encouragement across the group though."We continue to observe that BATM is delivering strong progress across the development of its technologies and Group operations. BATM presents a profitable high growth opportunity to investors across a span of technologies, these moving towards potential market inflection points."Again not new comments really but reiterating "strong progress" after half year I'll take. | ![]() kooba
11/7/2022 16:31 | Its probably worth commenting briefly on revenues from Edgility. When and how will they start to make a very real impact. "The Edgility suite is comprised of two components: Edgility OS, a high-performance and small footprint virtual operating system, and Edgility Central, a cloud-based Management and Orchestration system" A lot of this centres around a few hurdles that have to be overcome before we transition to the next generation for Telco environment. What City Fibre are spending money on is to get end to end fibre installed. I have end to end fibre in Canada where I live and people that have this level of connection will know that its almost instant. Deployment of end to end fibre will and is accelerating but it has been a hurdle that has to be cleared before all of this is going to happen on a wide scale universally. There are several other satellite based systems that will compliment fibre and they are getting rolled out. Telco systems Edgility OS essentially turbo charges the package by releasing processing power to tackle input and route it the best way by utilizing the Edge. Some of the first Telco contracts are largely intranet centred with companies under huge pressure to streamline their inter office data and protect against exterior threats. Its all about UCPE and white boxes and their enablement as far as Small Office Home Office SOHO goes. This is why Telco have partnered with the likes of Nexcom who are already selling hardware/white boxes preloaded with Edgility. Telco systems achieves revenue from licensing to end users so all the factors have to be in line before this interprets to their being even able to use the system. This is why I have repeatedly said that revenue will come as a trickle until the catchment area expands and the likes of City Fibre get their kit in place. New clients will be added to existing clients. Its repeat business. Equipment in some cases will need to be updated but a lot can from my understanding be reconfigured and companies on ARM or Intel platforms can be integrated to operate harmoniously. So here is the big caveat. This is all now in the advanced stages of development and is just starting to be used. The heavy lifting has been done and Telco systems have numerous partners at various stages of POC to Beta testing with some individual clients like Cemex and Equal actually using the system. Its well along the road in terms of development but revenue will look anemic for a while until clients are actually able to tie in so to speak. In my opinion by the time Telco starts to see real revenue from Edge computing and Edgility the value of their IP will wag the dog ! Its an odd situation indeed and where they not so tightly held they would have been taken over yonks ago. | ![]() fse

11/7/2022 13:44 | I have shore's comments now as well but they were perfunctory. I'm hoping they will publish a proper note soon | ![]() echoridge

11/7/2022 13:27 | Odd that Telco Systems don't tweet this stuff..Almost 4000 followers. Haven't tweeted anything for almost a year.https://twitter | ![]() kooba
11/7/2022 13:07 | Have they not? | ![]() kooba
11/7/2022 12:16 | finally, if this pilot scheme has the potential suggested in the RNS, I don't see how Shore Cap can avoid publishing a note on it. | ![]() echoridge
11/7/2022 12:15 | The revenue of the IT side may only be 20%, but will close when the revenues roll in for edgility. The company are building up a significant number of partners in each region and revenues are 85% profit with minimum 3-4 year contracts. What we are interested in is how many companies have signed up and the expected revenues. From the Q&A last year, they were expecting exponential growth..If the new medical diagnostic tool can have a similar impact in the next 18 months, there will be a significant increase in revenue and profitability. | ![]() paulisi
11/7/2022 11:21 | And fwiw, while its true that we rallied 7% on Friday with Israel shut but then Sunday's session in Tel Aviv saw a lot of selling after an initial 7% surge - so that we were almost lucky to close up 2.5/3% there - the Israeli line has made up that underperformance (and a little bit more) on good volume so far today. | ![]() echoridge
11/7/2022 10:47 | yes, you are. This is potentially huge for BATM. The price action on any particular day on either exchange is, on the other hand, relatively meaningless (with notable exceptions of course). Meantime however, there is nothing suggesting that this announcement, as much of a breakthrough as it may be, is what has caused this lengthy quiet period on the buyback, etc. | ![]() echoridge
11/7/2022 10:23 | Am I missing something about this RNS? The price has dropped and volume is low. I guess there was a flurry of excitement on Friday about the RNS before it was released which gave the lift on Friday. Then on Sunday the Tase price hardly moved and now its down in the UK. If thats the best news to date .....It may be technically exciting but clearly from a commercial perspective it doesn't do much. You have to remember the telco business is 20% of the company revenue so an absolute tiddler in business terms. I still don't understand what is happening with this company. My money is still on a buyout of the bio business by Marom and a sale of the telco bit. | ![]() car1pet
11/7/2022 08:56 | sorry gb, was that meant for me, and if so, I don't understand what you mean. | ![]() echoridge
11/7/2022 08:44 | How on earth you can be so ingenious to FSE who has given such Stirling input into BATM over the years, when your just a uneducated upstart beggars belief. | gbenson1
11/7/2022 08:29 | Poking around a bit, if this pilot (which shouldn't take long to finish) becomes a full contract - and I think FSE will agree when he chimes in with his views that that is very likely as Edgility's kit works - it really could be a company maker. CityFibre is yuge and getting yugger and Edgility would be positioned to grow with it. | ![]() echoridge

11/7/2022 07:56 | The actual reported eps were slightly higher than their 2021 forecast at the time i notice..Basic earnings per share (cents) 3.26c 2.22c +46.8% So could be slightly higher forecast eps for 2022.If anyone has a forecast post 2021 results would be helpful. | ![]() kooba
11/7/2022 07:45 | On the pe front just to say the last Shore Cap note i have seen (Feb 2022) estimated earnings for 2022 of 1.7c (3c) that therefore is the market estimates the company said they were in line with i guess. If anyone has more up to date forecast would like to know. Might be higher following 2021 report and accounts but haven't seen any updated note.Prospective pe is therefore rather higher than historic.Pandemic earnings , sale of division ? Either way those are shore numbers last seen. | ![]() kooba
