My understanding of mortality rates from Coronavirus is that they are are around 2% compared with a “serious”; influenza strain that’s not that high. Flu strains go around the world with impunity that’s how they decide what’s going in the flu jab which can be highly effective but usually wide of the mark. Identifying the composite of the virus at the level and speed BATM Natlab can do is a game changer. I would have thought ?

Markets have over reacted. All chinese factories now open except in Wuhan area, so supply chains starting to run again. Disruption should be minimal as long as companies are carrying buffer.BATM will be exposed to supply issues, but not sure how much. I'm guessing a lot of their parts are manufactured in China.

New contract but too reliant on one customer.

A lot of the world manufacturing or components comes out of China. The factories are just starting to open everywhere except in Wuhan. Most global companies are impacted. Supply chains are impacted and expect quite a few Chinese businesses to go bust on cash flow issues.

Corona virus is hurting every share today FTSE down 2.9% BATM down over 5%. Anyone with spare cash its a great time to buy anything. Unfortunatley I need to sell so hoping the virus scare will subside. What I don't get about this virus is that its not that serious. I think the fatality rates are no worse then annual flu. Obviously for those in poor health it is dangerous but there seems to have been a massive over reaction with talk of a pandemic. Sounds scary but provided countries remain vigilant it shouldn't stop the world economy.

A $4m cyber security contract from its long-standing government defence department customer. This additional follow-on order is expected to be delivered in the second half of 2020 with the total contracted revenue awarded to the Group to date by this customer to over $18m.
Even though this is an existing customer it would have had a greater impact if it had been a new customer.

Would like to see some update on the cyber security angle although my understanding is that the main event is likely to be that its embedded into NFVTime suite and possibly ARM. Neoverse. Still they were winning major government contracts and nothing much on that.

The last cyber security contract win announces was in early October for $0.6M for delivery in 2019 so they need something to show growth in this area.

Proactive interview with Zvi Marom CEO. BATM hails accelerated demand for waste treatment services. BATM Advanced Communications(LON:BVC) has secured a third contract for its agri-waste treatment solution with a major poultry processor in the Middle East. CEO Zvi Marom tells Proactive London about and a separate uptick in demand for hospital waste disposal too.“Together with our Eco-Med products, BATM will be able to offer solutions to rapidly and effectively identify as well as treat pathogens, which can help in the containment of disease outbreaks." he added. The network technology and medical lab systems firm said the deal is worth around US$1.3mln and will involve the installation of its treatment solution to allow poultry remains to be treated onsite without producing damaging by-products. The contract is expected to be delivered this year.

$1.3m is better than nothing but its worrying that such a small order gets an RNS. They need to be pulling in this level of order every few days.

Another order for our agri-waste treatment solution in another new geography........ In the last 12 months, we have won contracts totalling c.US$7m for this solution.

Good steady progress although I believe the Natlab system is the one we really want to see orders for....

Institutions will reduce holdings to stay within weighting’s for different securities so it is seldom an indicator as to their confidence in a particular stock.
