22/11/2017 16:19 | Confused by this ? This RNS has not showed up on BATM site that I can see or on ADVFN. Its over on the proactive investors site which typically covers BATM announcements. I am also not sure why they (BATM Telco) would have announced something like this. At the risk of being partially repetitious, it highlights the view that the company sales through partnerships is what is going to drive this forwards. Not one off large contracts. It also suggest that sales in these areas NFV and SDN are finally starting to get traction. Thats echoed from other companies in this field. The partnerships that BATM have made are with very significant players and in breaking tech applications that are now coming to fruition. Telco systems only has an annual turnover of some $40M across the board in total. We do not know what percentage of that came from NFV/SDN so if I understand this release correctly ......... they are expecting to generate some $200M from this field of expertise at a minimum based solely on what is currently in the pipeline. the caveat here is from the RNS " over the next few years as the industry starts to implement the technology on a regular basis.” BATM categorise "few years" as in the next 3 years at the start of the release....... ergo its not just a statement saying "over the coming years" or something flowery. So what to make of it ? The recent partnerships and progress announcements coupled with a steady presence at trade shows would lead you to believe that the groundwork and research is well advanced, they have actual products and solutions in the market place, and that they are seeing first orders. For a breaking tech company they are very far along the road, for an established company investors will want to see this in the bottom line. Its a matter of how you view BATM at this juncture. This RNS takes them from a HOLD to a BUY imo for the medium term investor. Anyone else have a view on this ? | ![]() fse
22/11/2017 13:56 | 22 November 2017 BATM Advanced Communications Limited (“BATM” or “the Group”) Substantial traction achieved in NFV market with formation of key partnerships Management believes its total addressable market for network function virtualisation based on these partnerships to be worth c. US$200m over the next three years BATM Advanced Communications Limited (LSE: BVC), a leading provider of real-time technologies for networking solutions and medical laboratory systems, announces that Telco Systems (“Telco” The partnerships, which have been established in recent months, include leading providers of central processing unit (“CPU”) technology, white box hardware and across a range of virtual network functions, such as: CPU: Telco is the only worldwide software vendor to provide NFV functionality to Arm architecture and all Intel platforms White box: NexCom, Advantech, AAEON and Lanner Software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN): Silverpeak Firewall: TrendMicro vRouter: Cisco, Riverbed and 6WIND Network performance monitoring: Certes and Netrounds Network orchestration: Netcracker The Group’s management believes that its total addressable market specifically for NFV applications that it can target through these partnerships is worth approximately US$200m over the next three years as the industry develops. The Group intends to establish further partnerships in due course and expects the value of its addressable market to grow accordingly. The latest milestone is the launch, together with 6WIND, a high-performance networking software company and leader in the vRouter market, of the industry’s first vRouter for software-based remote management of router services, that enables service providers to rapidly launch and remotely deploy and modify managed router services on a standalone basis or combined with additional virtual network functions. The new vRouter, which combines Telco’s NFVTime solution with 6WIND’s Turbo Router, is built on an open uCPE (universal Customer Premises Equipment) platform. uCPE is a networking solution that converts network functions from hardware to software, which, with competing solutions, is currently a long and expensive process, and in some instances not feasible. The solution introduced by BATM’s Telco addresses these limitations by being completely hardware agnostic – supporting multiple technologies, including Intel (the leading architecture for computers) and Arm (the leading architecture for mobile devices). As a result, this open and agile service delivery platform can meet the growing demand from telecoms operators and managed service providers for solutions that offer increased performance, flexibility and cost savings on their networks, regardless of their hardware or what they may choose to use. 2 Dr Zvi Marom, Chief Executive Officer of BATM, said: “We are delighted with the progress that we have achieved in network function virtualisation, which is a key target growth-market for BATM’s networking and cyber division. With the establishment of these partnerships – with the leaders in their field – we are seeing our strategy come to fruition as our solutions can form part of any NFV and SDN applications. As a result, we are well-positioned to expand our sales in this market, which, based on our current partnerships alone, we estimate has a value of US$200m for BATM over the next few years as the industry starts to implement the technology on a regular basis.” Enquiries: BATM Advanced Communications Dr Zvi Marom, Chief Executive Officer +972 9866 2525 Moti Nagar, Chief Financial Officer Luther Pendragon Harry Chathli, Claire Norbury +44 20 7618 9100 | ![]() james dean

13/11/2017 16:22 | The news release is not about the company reporting just strong interest its an announcement about actual sales growth of these devices. Unless I am off script on all of this the sales growth is in the area which is further down the line in terms of what CPS are now offering thats why we are starting to see real sales penetration. A lot of the most recently announced products are just starting to be introduced to the market in earnest. Don't forget that these solutions current and planned will be fully integrated. Cybersecurity being one area many of us feel has to grow. The other item I picked up on somewhat validates my feelings that this will be a growth area in supplying to CPS which should see a continued sales growth, we will not necessarily see BATM Telco themselves win large stand alone contracts. 13/11/2017 14:35 | Press Releases Telco Systems Reports Over 20% Sales Growth for MEF CE 2.0 Compliant Devices in North America Nov 13, 2017 Company cites sales growth driven by increasing demand from communications service providers for more wholesale and business services and bandwidth MANSFIELD, MA, November 13, 2017 — Telco Systems, the leading provider of innovative SDN/NFV, CE 2.0, MPLS and IP solutions, today announced that the company experienced in the period ending on June 2017 over 20% year-to-year growth in shipments of its MEF CE 2.0 compliant devices across North America. Telco Systems reports that this growth in sales is primarily being driven by an increased rollout of the company’s demarcation and aggregation products used by communications services providers (CSPs) to enable wholesale and business services such as Direct Internet Access (DIA), Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN, Ethernet Network-to-Network Interface (ENNI), E-Rate and Cloud Access services. In particular, Telco Systems is experiencing strong demand for its 100GE T-Metro 8100 service demarcation and aggregation platform. T-Metro 8100 is designed for service providers that need high reliability and flexibility to aggregate multiple services over 1GE, 10GE and 100GE port rates in metro Ethernet environments. T-Metro 8100 provides carrier-grade service scalability and resiliency along with a comprehensive feature set that supports QoS and OAM capabilities. “We recently took the strategic decision to standardize our network infrastructure with Telco Systems’ MEF CE 2.0 devices and over the past year we have significantly increased our use of these solutions,” explained Ronald Shelton, Director of IP Networks at MetroNet. “Telco Systems and its innovative service demarcation and aggregation solutions have positioned MetroNet to meet the constantly increasing demand to deliver more services and more bandwidth. We are particularly excited about the T-Metro 8100 service capabilities for higher bandwidth applications.” Over the past year, Telco Systems has added twelve new CSP customers in North America. Today, the company has an installation base of over 130 Tier 1 and Tier 2 CSPs in North America alone. “We are happy to strengthen our Carrier Ethernet product solutions leadership in the North American market and maintain our years of successful innovation and longstanding leadership in this market space,” said Reinhard Florin, General Manager for North America at Telco Systems. “Looking forward, we have a healthy pipeline for our unique 100GE solution and we have strong expectations that the demand for this solution will continue to grow.” “We are certainly pleased with the growth of the Carrier Ethernet side of our business,” stated Ariel Efrati, CEO at Telco Systems. “In parallel, we are experiencing strong interest for our uCPE solutions from telecommunications and managed service providers around the world looking for an efficient service delivery framework to rollout and manage new SDN and NFV based services.” | ![]() fse

09/11/2017 14:49 | Telco Systems and 6WIND Introduce First vRouter on Open uCPE for Intel Denverton and Arm 09/11/2017 1:30pm PR Newswire (US) BATM Advanced Communications (LSE:BVC) Intraday Stock Chart Today : Thursday 9 November 2017 Click Here for more BATM Advanced Communications Charts. MANSFIELD, Massachusetts and SANTA CLARA, California, November 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Telco Systems, the leading provider of innovative SDN/NFV, CE 2.0, MPLS and IP solutions, and 6WIND, a high performance networking software company, today announced that the two companies have introduced the first vRouter on an open uCPE solution with support for both Intel x86 and Arm architectures. The design of this new joint solution combines Telco Systems' NFVTime solution with 6WIND's Turbo Router. The joint solution will create an open and agile service delivery platform, allowing service providers to rapidly launch and remotely manage managed router services on a standalone basis or as part of service chains that include additional virtual network functions. NFVTime is a carrier-class NFVi-OS running on white box appliances. NFVTime includes a broad portfolio of certified VNFs, including SD-WAN, vRouter, vFirewall, vProbe, vSecurity and more, that are centrally managed and orchestrated from the network edge. With NFVTime, any new VNF service can be remotely launched at any time with zero touch, plug-and-play provisioning. 6WIND Turbo Router is a high performance, ready-to-use software network appliance deployed in bare metal environments or as a virtual machine. With 12 million packets per second per core of routing performance, 6WIND Turbo Router provides the performance of hardware networking equipment with the ease of deployment and flexibility of software. The new combined solution from Telco Systems and 6WIND will be completely hardware agnostic and runs on both Intel x86 and Arm architectures. By supporting multiple technologies and multiple vendors, this solution gives service providers more flexibility and greater cost savings with high performance over low cost hardware, such as Intel ATOM and Arm/NXP devices. "We are excited to demonstrate 6WIND Turbo Router in both x86 and Arm frameworks enabled by the unique 100% hardware agnostic architectural approach of Telco Systems' NFVTime," said Eric Carmès, Founder and CEO of 6WIND. 07/11/2017 15:51 | Whats on the way is that BATM re jigged the company quite a few years back. They added the medical arm to help smooth out the effect from the erratic nature of Telco business purchasing cycles. They then took a very heavy bet that cloud/software solutions/cyber security would be the way of the future. They divested themselves from the legacy equipt from Nokia days. All of this has been achieved without going to the markets for cash. This is if you like an "undiluted" play. The company is now at the culmination point of these various endeavours where its going to work or not. As I have said many times before the markets are not interested in this "thus far" and want to see bottom line growth. BATM does not need IMO large contracts to really get going they just need to see a steady revenue stream from what's already out there. They are a 100M turnover company in a $Bn playground. | ![]() fse |
