I think Zvi has enough shares to stop that from happening .... if he wanted. It might happen, but hopefully at the right price, then we would all be happy.

FSE you say....

"They are one of the essential bridges between the processor and the networks."

Does that mean if BATMs solution is embedded in all 5g chipsets that we become the big cheese in the "internet of things"?
Surely we'd be "acquired" if that was true.

The differences are huge, applications that need to process a lot of information and have it instantly to hand like autonomous vehicles. In the case of say autonomous vehicles sensors and 4G will get you there but 5G will tell you where you can park and literally speak to other autonomous vehicles. Similarly AI needs the speed and the processing power. New chipsets need to be designed to accommodate this and networks need to be speeded up and process the information more efficiently and thats where BATM Telco come in. They are one of the essential bridges between the processor and the networks.
One enticing thought is that operating systems will become predominately mobile based which ARM dominate in .........

5G technology promises mobile data speeds that far outstrip the fastest home broadband network currently available in the UK. With speeds of up to 100 gigabits per second, 5G will be as much as 1,000 times faster than 4G, the latest iteration of mobile data technology

FSE.....Thanks for your take on what might be occurring. When your partnered with Arm and Intel I don't think it can get much better. Not sure I understand why 5g will enable A.I. more than 4g and how it will impact royalties, but fingers crossed...

Its worth listening again to the Zvi Marom interview back in June /18 link is in post 14902 above. There are points made in the interview which are worth highlighting given the fact we now know the strategic partner is ARM.
Marom describes ARM as a strategic partner and that the initial funds advanced by ARM to BATM are to embed/incorporate BATM solutions tech into the new chipsets.
As a strategic partner BATM would then receive royalties on the sales.
Marom describes the market as "huge"
It is also apparent that the target companies for BATM are quite extensive.
Timeframes are for the end of 2019 for royalties from this co operation to start.
Again this is one avenue BATM Telco are developing. They have numerous other products which they are currently selling into the market.
The development with ARM is very much a 5G operative so its fairly early days in seeing widespread deployment but the race to get this done appears to be heating up and they are much further along the road than I initially thought.
Looks like its happening !

Added comment: Heres a Bit more information from the initial announcement.Telco Systems is hoping to bring a new dimension to the virtual CPE market, through a joint development agreement with ARM which will develop uCPE boxes based on ARM's RISC-based processors and Telco Systems' NFVTime operating system.

The five-year deal will engage both companies in developing uCPE and edge computing devices based on ARM Ltd. 's semiconductors and Telco Systems (BATM) ' NFVTime operating system. Initially, the focus will be on two existing system-on-a-chip vendors, NXP Semiconductors N.V. (Nasdaq: NXPI) and Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (Nasdaq: MRVL), but the partners will also build a larger ecosystem both of SoC vendors, including Cavium Inc. (Nasdaq: CAVM) and virtual network function (VNF) makers. The idea, says Telco Systems' CEO Ariel Efrati, is to enable VNF developers to be able to create their software once for certification on NFVTime, and enable that VNF to run on either an ARM or x86-based white box.

"We have an agreement to create generally available software that can operate in both of those environments that basically adds more NFV functions or VNFs to this," he says in an interview. "The initial development [will be in] around 12 to months and will include onboarding VNFs in three specific categories -- router, SD-WAN and firewall and introducing additional SoC vendors, between two and three into this market."

Telco Systems will lead the development effort while ARM contributes technical expertise and is investing in the effort.

On the detailed trades on ADVFN I noticed that the price on the NEX market is consistently about 1p higher than the price on the LSE. The NEX seems to lead and the LSE price catches up so NEX price is currently offer at 42.5, so hopefully LSE price will be 42.5p today/tomorrow

Don't forget Batm have been involved in ongoing SDN/NFV POC trials which Zvi Marom has stated will convert into contracts, they also possess the award winning products that companies are now more than happy to partner with.

As you say FSE the interim results update on revenue and earnings will indeed be significant and hopefully possess a positive forward looking statement.

>red army..... thats very much an issue for the main event. Telco systems have nevertheless been on the road to recovery without this business and have been selling into the market a variety of upgraded hardware and solutions. The Cyber security arm has already made sales and seen repeat and enhanced business from existing clients.

If BATM can hit market expectations plus what they have in the pipeline for the future then the current valuations are not at all high.
I dont think you will see sudden large contracts here for Telco systems with respect to SDN solutions rather a trickle of revenue from partnerships which will increase going forwards.

The next update on revenue and earnings will be significant, Regrettably their house broker are woefully incompetent (despite Marom being on the board) of issuing any sensible guidelines. I have highlighted this problem before and its not any better.

Marom said in the recent interview that the ARM based products which they are working on will come out in late 2019.He's expecting more deals in the meantime and the royalties to start flowing in from then.
Naturally the market looks forward and if the trials with these products work well the share price ought to move pretty quickly...indeed, as it has been doing ! 8 year highs and like the old batman hopefully it will rocket above 100p(40quid maybe wishing for a bit much this time!!) within a year as 5g gains traction after the trails.

Simon Thompson
Investors have been warming to the merits of BATM Advanced Communications (BVC:40.3p), a provider of medical laboratory systems and network solutions, and a constituent of my 2017 Bargain Shares Portfolio. In fact, the share price has doubled on my 19.25p entry point in just 18 months, and is up by more than half since I last advised buying at 26.3p ('Profit from 5GM with BATM', 8 June 2018).

FSE> I Don't subscribe to IC but from what I gather BATM (BVC) is a part of Simon Thompson portfolio with a short term target of 50p. The buzz is about the eventual roll out of 5G which will enable AI solutions , autonomous cars etc etc.
At what point companies like BATM will see meaningful revenue flow from this is debatable.
5G is being trialed now but it will be 2020 before we see any serious rollouts.
Of course providers will have to get with the plan ahead of that time ..... when is the big "if"
Revenue from other avenues (particularly Cyber) is looking slightly closer term.

Added comment: The article on Celitron is well worth reading. BATM scaled down on the smaller units and have been selling a much larger solution into the agricultural sector. Hard to gauge the size of this market.
