Talk on the News this morning regarding testing at Airports. Now that would be very lucrative.

Apart from being diversified, they seem to be at the forefront of new R&D with covid products. The new tests are PCR ready and sputum rather than swab. Better accuracy and the home kits are close to launch.

I see Novacyt, who were one of the leading covid test suppliers, have developed new products, but it seems to be a little behind BATM.

Sputum test was mentioned in 19/03/2020 RNS:
"New rapid diagnostics sputum based kit for home use expected to be completed in 3-4 months"

I believe the saliva / sputum test is antigen for presence of active infection They are also involved in both lab antibody tests and home testing kits

Is this saliva test to determine whether you have had it or whether you have got it?

Yes Zvi mentioned it was saliva test in the proactive investor interview. If you have watched people self testing nasal swab they just waft it inside the nose not right to the back for an accurate test. Saliva and sputum are the future

Good spot Doc....I understood the new tests were saliva. I don't think its in the release but was in an interview with Marom. Interesting development and ties in with the need to measure the severity of a particular case and associated antibodies. IMO these are a game changer as they allow a much more comprehensive outlook. Its also an invaluable resource for those developing treatments for lower respiratory complications.
Unwilling to get into a long debate on vaccines. Funds available for treatments are dwarfed by vaccine commitments which is I believe a huge oversight.
The reason ICU get over run is largely due to the extended period Covid19 patients spend in them. Times for patients on respirators is also x4 longer.

Interesting snippet from NCYT rns this morning. Saliva is the future!:

Recent studies(1) have demonstrated that saliva often has far higher numbers of viral particles compared with nasopharyngeal swabs. An independent study carried out by the Liverpool School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine using Novacyt's COVID-19 test concluded that "SARS-Cov-2 can be detected with greater sensitivity in saliva samples compared to nasal swabs" (2) . Further to completing its own validation of the saliva sampling type, Novacyt confirms this sample type can be used with its COVID-19 test.

New test for BATM is saliva

Same people who were selling at 35p and bought back in between, panicking on small retraces and recently in at 150p-MMs have them down to a tee and screws them when interest dies down-usually can't afford to hold shares.
