I deserve one too my first purchase 2/1/01. The share price is nearing the price I paid back then.
Added over the years and my first small sale was just a few days ago. I'm keeping the remainder until we see the company grow even more.

FSE- you held these since 2003 ?! If so, you certainly deserve a medal. When I said long term I was thinking more like a couple of years. ( Lol )

At some point companies like BATM who as you say provide essential kit to the industry will have their day. The sell off in this company is as daft as the overpricing that preceeded it.
I sold out of them mostly a long time ago but kept a few for recovery.

On the TASE today the price is off 3% but that may be due to currency. Using .24 conversion it is around £1

I agree, this one is not for trading. I actually put a few in my long term pf. Having watched BVC on and off for years, I lost count of their misfirings. It's one of them co's that have been mediocre for a very long time and then all of a sudden something changes and their fortunes turn. Seen it before with FUTR and GAW where they went nowhere for years and then (when everyone lost hope), their fortunes changed. Don't think they'll be quite as successful but I reckon this could be BVC's inflection point, who knows ?! Covid-19 might just prove to be their break.
definitely worth researching a bit.

Great trading RNS on how far and fast BVC has come in a year-all coming together at last.
Over the years it has been a frustrating hold as newsworthy RNSs' were few and far between-and usually negative-but I feel we will be getting a lot more-with a positive slant-from now on as each of the divisions is like a mini plc in its own right. There was a time you could sell after results and almost guarantee-with the certainty there would be no news from the company-to buy back after 2 months cheaper. As FSE points out (16964) BATM is a much larger concern (look at size of single ventilator order alone) this year than last, and a lot more is happening. I won't be trading, or taking any chances with my shares from now on. They are in the top drawer-till I retire at least.

Interview is worth watching. The R&D efforts over the past years have come together and the company is now not only selling products and solutions and the biggest problem they have is keeping up with their order book.
From the interview I gather that bench top analyzers /readers are in high demand and I am sure this is what they really do want to see sell and in large quantities so as far as I can see this is all going very much to plan.
BATM is clearly a much larger concern than it was even a year ago, all of this has been developed "in house". BATM has no debt and makes money. For a company releasing new developed technology to be in this position at this point in time is impressive.

This was the part I wanted to focus on. Very interesting

BATM added it has attracted significant talent into the business to manage the increased interest that is being received. This month it appointed a former Roche executive, Jeremy Moss, as its global head of point of care.

Moss, who will operate from the UK, has served various senior roles at Roche over the past 22 years.

one thing missed by a lot of people is the $30m order for ventilators. For BATM that is a huge order. I cant ever remember seeing a $30m order. Hopefully it has plenty of margin.

BATM Advanced Communications Ltd - BATM making ‘visible and considerable progress’, says house broker
BATM Advanced Communications Ltd (LON:BVC) is making “visible and considerable progress” in its trading throughout the year, according to analysts at its house broker Shore Capital.

In a note on Thursday, the broker said the networking and biomedical specialist had made “sustained investment” in its technology in recent years and that the fruits of this were “now being seen in the group’s success” across both its Networking & Cyber and Bio-medical businesses.

READ: BATM Advanced Communications surges to multi-year highs after raising guidance
“We note that the recent success in supporting [coronavirus] solutions has highlighted BATM’s capabilities in the Bio-Medical division; that demand for instruments (readers) is noted to be higher is welcome news”, ShoreCap said. Analysts added that they believed the prospects for the networking business also “remain bright”.

The assessment followed a trading update in which the firm hiked its full-year revenue and earnings expectations, which ShoreCap expected to result in “a meaningful improvement” to its 2020 earnings (EBITDA) forecasts.

“Whilst the first half performance to end June is still dependent upon revenue and cost phasing, we can be confident about the full year”, the broker said.

This virus has already been seen to mutate which was expected.
This is the reason why benchtop analyzers that can be re calibrated and brought up to date with new reagents are critical.

Of other interest in this update is that the test they are working on with NovaMed appears to be far more encompassing that originally thought. Its described as a test at home viral antigen diagnostic. This means they can tell not just if you have the disease but if you have had it and have antibodies present. Thats a whole new ball game.

I was particularly pleased to hear that Telco, the network and cyber division is holding its own and is now able to follow up on the order back log it has. For NFTime to be imbedded in SOCS and ARM at Intels castle walls this is disruptive technology for the new generation of Telecoms. Buying Telco products is a bit like buying a 5G enabled phone in anticipation of whats to come. This is disruptive technology setting a new standard and Telco are significant players here.

On the medical side what investors really should pick up on is that Covid19 has drawn attention to the varied infectious disease solutions the company has been developing for several years. They will be needed in the future to keep pace with the spread of new virus and pathogen identification.
Pasted a couple of relevant passages from the update.

"In the first half, the Group was able to launch a new diagnostics antigen molecular (RTPCR) test kit to detect COVID-19 that underwent clinical verification and evaluation by leading universities and hospitals in February and received certification at the end of March 2020. Additionally, in May 2020, the Group launched ELISA lab serological test kits that diagnose if a patient has had COVID-19 by detecting antibodies against it present in their blood. Production and sales of both kits have been ramping up and the Group has shipped several hundred thousand test kits with a backlog of over a million orders still to be delivered.

In addition to the sales of the newly launched kits (reagents), the Group has received increased demand for its instruments (readers). During the summer months, the Group is adding further production capacity for its reagents and instruments to satisfy potential orders from the continued interest the Group is receiving from around the world."

Valuation wise it should be recognized that BATM are not only developing new products but have a group of later stage products that are now entering the market.
When the hype of Covid19 is a distant memory and we then have the Panic22 virus the company will be there with the updated readers and reagents so we don't wreck the worlds economy again when it could have been a managed environment and contained and understood.

Whats that worth ?
