05/3/2020 01:15 | Completely agree with Gerihatrick. This company has executed incredibly well over the last 3 years. Revenue, profitability and cash on the balance sheet all up substantially. EBITDA doubled last year! Focus on the 2H 19 sales growth and the order backlog for 1H 20. My guess is that you will see another high teens jump in revenue, with expanded margins and so much higher profits for 1H 20. If you are an investor vs speculator you should be very happy with the company’s direction. It’s rare to be able to find a company that gives exposure to both telco and medical technology and that then seems to be delivering on promise. Remember that 5G telco deployment is really a 2021+ story. So the backend of this year will see a huge ramp in testing. Markets will get excited about this in 2H as Apple launches their first 5G handset. I am a happy shareholder. Stock has doubled since investing and I still see upside given the areas the company is focused on. | madun2000
04/3/2020 22:57 | Does anyone know if BATM produce "hand sanitizers" as there are plenty of demand at the moment........ European supermarkets depleted after coronavirus concerns lead to hoarding Supermarkets in Germany and the Netherlands are facing higher demand for toilet paper and hygiene products as well as other groceries. French authorities are considering capping the price on hand sanitizer gel as retailers are reportedly taking advantage of the the high demand. The recent spread of coronavirus cases across Europe has fueled the urge to hoard, as health officials advise populations to use sanitizer and self isolate if there is suspicion of infection. Hand sanitizer was among the hardest-to-find products at stores from London to Paris and Amsterdam. | master rsi
04/3/2020 22:32 | Pro active Investors - BATM sees full year earnings double BATM Advanced Communications Ltd (LON:BVC) has seen earnings double in 2019 after what its chief executive said was a “great performance in the second half”. For the year ended 31 December, 2019, the networking tech and bio-medical firm reported underlying earnings (EBITDA) of US$9.8mln, up from US$4.9mln in 2018, while revenues rose to US$123.4mln from US$119.6mln. Adjusted operating profit, meanwhile, was up to US$5.3mln from US$2.6mln. CEO Zvi Marom said revenues in the second half had been 20% higher year-on-year, which alongside a “robust fourth quarter” had helped deliver “increased sales and profit…along with strong cash generation”. As a result of the improved performance, Marom said the company had entered 2020 with a “substantially higher” order backlog than the previous year. The company said it expected growth in both its networking and bio-medical divisions for the coming year, and as a result, BATM expected that its 2020 performance will be “in line with market expectations”. "Much value is being created within BATM which is not yet being recognised in the income statement. Nevertheless, we observe revenues and profitability continuing to rise with further progress set to flow through [its 2020 financial year]", said analysts at house broker Shore Capital. | master rsi

"We believe that the strategy we adopted in both of our divisions is proving to be correct. In particular, the COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the value of solutions that help with the containment of infectious disease outbreaks. Consequently, we believe that combination of our NATlab system, which can identify human pathogens with unparalleled speed and accuracy, with our Eco-Med products for pathogenic waste treatment, stand to be of great benefit to society. At the same time, our Networking business is accelerating the NFV activity and we expect good commercial traction in 2020. As a result, we continue to look to the future with confidence." " ... The Group successfully developed a new diagnostics kit to detect the COVID-19 virus. This kit, which is part of the MOLgen molecular diagnostics line that was launched at the end of 2018, has undergone testing by several central laboratories and hospitals that have now verified its ability to diagnose COVID-19. The MOLgen COVID-19 kit is designed to be used with the Group's diagnostic instruments, which offers benefits of speed and accuracy, but it can also be used with some competing diagnostic instruments. Post period, the Group commenced initial production of the kit at its Adaltis facility, and is working with academic and research institutions, mainly in Europe, to progress the kit to make it at a price point suitable for large scale production. The kit, which supports all the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations, has already received interest from customers in several countries. ..." | ![]() hedgehog 100

04/3/2020 16:28 | Today’s Proactive interview with Zvi Marom, Executive Director,Chief Executive. BATM Advanced Communications (LON:BVC) has seen earnings double in 2019 after what its chief executive said was a “great performance in the second half”. “Results for 2019 are very good and we are in good shape … and very “optimistic for 2020. Some things will be happening soon so definitely we’ll talk again in the next few weeks.” | deltaham

04/3/2020 15:21 | There are indeed a load of positive indicators with this set of results. The company is earnings positive and has the money to continue releasing ground breaking products into the market with no dilution to shareholders. The funds they raised are being used to expand the company's operation not to cover shortfalls. What is to like and what I was hoping for is proof that they have turned the corner and are now benefitting from what they have spent years developing. Positive flags for this are from the increase in revenue H2 from H1. The company further references a "very" strong last quarter in 2019 and a large order book going forwards. I agree with Gerihatrick earlier comments that this is NOT the same company it was 15 years ago. the market really needs to take a closer look at the value of this company's IP which is the determining factor in accurately valuing BATM. ST of IC placed it in 65p range quite some time ago, A figure I agreed with then. Since that time BATM have demonstrated that their products and solutions are ahead of the competition and that they are very well positioned. These results are very solid with a much clearer view on future direction. The company has been delivering and its hardly their fault the market is so slow to recognize just what they have achieved. Frustration is better targeted at investor perception or lack of it. | ![]() fse
04/3/2020 14:21 | So the early price drop is starting to recover as investors read beyond the headlines.Expect the share price to stabilise until the brokers issue their reports and the likes of IC, where we should see an upturn. There are lots of positives within the detail of the report which need promoting. | ![]() paulisi
04/3/2020 13:40 | Meijiman . Yes , a large part ( the majority ? ) Of Mpac’s business is involved with packaging for pharmaceutical companies . This morning’s figures for Mpac look good ( Mkt Cap £ 64 M ( approx ) , cash £ 18.9 M . With eps of almost 40p , my guesstimate is that Mpac is on a p/e of less than 7 . Also they are reinstating a small dividend ) Mpac was recently tipped in SCSW . Anyway , apologies to everyone else for what is a bit of a ramp by me for another company , but the relevant point here is that the share price of Mpac ( and hopefully BATM , which I also hold ) is showing the typical “ buy on the rumour , sell on the news “ , with a subsequent recovery . Whether Simon Thompson of Investors’ Chronicle is right or wrong , the readership of him and the magazine is great enough to move the share price of BATM . Good luck | ![]() mrnumpty
04/3/2020 13:34 | I think I have been around longer than most. Only ever topped up hoping for a bigger one offered than it is each time by Zvi. Fse recently gave his opinion on where the share price should be although just below my thoughts, however he was pretty near the mark. Perhaps some people don't read what is put in front of them. This is a friendly thread and I hope it remains so. | ![]() james dean

04/3/2020 11:34 | A message to Wise old bird. We all make our own decisions about buying and selling and are allowed to have our own opinions about how companies are managed. I simply state my views in hopefully a balanced way. My views about the management of the company are mine. I'm sorry you get frustrated reading my opinions but I have the right to express my opinions. I wish you well with your investments | ![]() car1pet
04/3/2020 11:31 | Maybe MPAC will be busy supplying packaging machines for pharma companies packing anti virus kits made by BATM!? | ![]() meijiman
04/3/2020 11:18 | Wise old bird . I presume from your BATM post just now that you still see upwards potential in BATM . It would be nice if you Could unambiguously give your opinion , though it would be only one opinion ( in other words , with the caveat “ do your own research “ ) . Anyway , another company which reported this morning , as BATM has just done , is Mpac ( they manufacture packaging machinery ) . Their share price conforms to the “ buy on the rumour , sell on the news “ theory , with them now picking up again after an early morning drop on announcement of annual figures in an RNS . Good luck | ![]() mrnumpty
04/3/2020 10:45 | I've joined this website to encourage car1pet to sell up and go! There are a load of reasons why share prices go up and down. investors come and go and their perspectives vary. I've owned bvc since 1998. I've seen shares jump to 77 quid, when I didn't sell. The price came down to 44 quid and bounced up again. I sold a few... But there's no point looking back! Good news doesn't mean the share price jumps immediately. All this slagging off of the management doesn't really help either. They're playing a long game- years of investment should pay off. I admit it's a puzzle that they have a massive turnover without profits, but that should change. The management shouldn't be focussing on the share price but on the bottom line, car1pet! Right! I feel better..after 10yrs of frustration reading car1pet's neurotic postings that just illustrate very little knowledge of investing, I've had a cathartic moment. | wise old bird

04/3/2020 10:18 | The shares appear to be recovering rather since an early drop - I think they were down just over 4p earlier this morning , but it’s now “ only “ ( ! ) 2.1p . This is the usual pattern when results are announced by a company - “ buy on the rumour , sell on the news “ . | ![]() mrnumpty
04/3/2020 10:08 | Whatever you think of him , Simon Thompson , the small-cap share tipster of the Investors’ Chronicle , has been tipping BATM as a “ buy “ for some time . His tips reach subscribers on Thursday ( tomorrow ) evening , and the printed magazine reaches subscribers on Friday . Hopefully he will have something positive to say which again , whether or not we agree , would help the share price . Good luck | ![]() mrnumpty |
