virus non event so far. seasonal kills 500,000 worldwide. This has killed - er -cough cough, just over 3,000. Not sure BATM is a buy by virtue of their poxy testing kits. There are plenty of other much better reasons.

Diseases simply don't tail off, but if Government controls are working we do get a stabilisation of some sort but early days still.

Looking at the data on coronavirus this morning either countries are not declaring cases or there is a reduction in new cases. China only had 125 new cases yesterday. South Korea seems the worst.Hard to say what is happening in Iran. But if the disease is tailing off the test kit may not do as well as first thought. Boris is predicting it will be everywhere in a few weeks but the data doesn't seem to be saying that at the moment. If each country can contain it then it could be a non event. Is this a political game so that Boris can claim he saved the country

Hopefully we will get something from the company with respect to revenues from test kits along with the results. I am not expecting to see major sales increases as what they have spent years developing is only entering the commercial phase. As commented many times BATM is undervalued with respect to the value of its IP.
They do usually have a brokers meeting following results so b y wednesday we should have a better idea as to where and how the company see themselves placed.....

Resume so far today on the trading front

After the markup from the start ( the market is well up also ) there was the usual up and down and one thing is the suport the share has found on the 47.10 v 47.60p spread, as "AT" is being executed at those prices and bounce back up again.

The volume is doble last Friday at this time and should be good if it carries on, though the market FTSE has started to move lower, losing half from earlier highs.

On the money aspect how does it work for BATM. Does BATM make money from selling the kits or does it give away the kits and make money on each test. Or is BATM licencing the technology and allowing others to manufacture the kits. Given the possible worldwide demand I woudn't have thought that BATM has the manufacturing capability to meet the worlwide demand and have the distribution channels to supply quickly. Does anyone know how BATM will make money from this piece of technology

Not sure how profitable the covid-19 diagnostic kits will be but the uptake for Natlab other the following months and years will be huge. Covid-19 has promoted natlab to a far greater extent than spending millions on sales & marketing...

More info - pricing for test coming in at about US$0.30 according to Jerusalem Post: "the product conceived by BATM has the advantage of being faster and more accurate and, within a few weeks, the company aims to set the cost at approximately NIS 1 per test. The kit is expected to be CE approved next week."

There have been problems with the CDC’s Covid-19 test kits
The CDC started sending out test kits to laboratories the first week of February, a month after China announced the outbreak. But the health agency quickly encountered a problem.

Some labs reported to the CDC that some of the test kits were delivering inconclusive results during verification. It’s believed that one of the chemicals used to conduct the test was not working properly and needed to be remanufactured.

The tests are conducted via mouth or throat swabs, through the testing of mucus that has been coughed up or fluid from a patient’s trachea. They’re designed to identify the virus’s specific genetic signature, and results currently have to be shipped to labs where they take a day to process.

BATM was a real 'stock market darling' in the past ... and it can be again.

This is a quality outfit of much more substance than NCYT, and the coronavirus outbreak will draw much more attention to its attributes.

In my opinion this is the best coronavirus play that there is, and we could be just at the start of a sustained rerating upwards to much higher levels.
