Analyst Wayne Brown retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 600p on the stock, which lowered 6%, or 33p, to 509p on Tuesday. He said full-year results for 2023 were ‘as expected’, with revenue and profit all modestly ahead and the group has ended with net cash of £53m despite ‘buying two businesses in the year, higher inventory, and the group concluding on phase one of its investment programme in its infrastructure’ ‘Looking ahead, we modestly upgrade our numbers to be more in line with consensus, and see the potential for more M&A as the group takes advantage of the current economic climate,’ said Brown. ‘Considering the cost challenges, the fact we are upgrading is a sign of the quality of the business and how counter-cyclical the group is.’ citywire.com | philanderer | |
