Pete that one puzzles me too. Rudolph seemed to want to prioritize XX1 even to the extent that he would have drilled it without a partner. Having said that we didn't have the near term and less risky opportunities that we have now. Horses for courses I guess !!

What I can't understand is how XXI has gone from a potential company maker under Rudolf, to something so small it's hardly worth drilling at the current time.

Regarding special resolution it's all in the AGM presentation on the web site.

www.baronoilplc.com/docum/AGM_2018_presentation.pdf

IMO I think the board are in two minds regarding XX1. They can't keep hanging around hoping for a farm in partner and will have to write it off at some point if one isn't forth coming. Question is when do you draw the line ?

The special resolution from memory was to disapply pre-emption rights.

Which if all resolutions are passed they can issue shares to raise funds without going back to the share-holders.

They have had this right for the last two or three years but have to re-ask the question at each AGM.

For what it's worth I voted in favour.

The approach to El Barco looks sound, ie, spend as little as possible on it but still keep looking for a paying farm in partner while Boil still has the licence. Will a local company want to take the risk of paying for a farm in? I doubt it.So El Barco is pretty much dead.UK is where it's at now for Boil.No position yet but I like the look of it.

BEST WAY I THINK BUY TO HOLD...CAN WORK OUT WELL IN THE LONG RUN.....and, of course, your not wasting your life screen watching, best be out jogging.

This cruise was a family cruise. My sis has had a tough year what with the loss of her husband so young and passing on intestate, as he did, no fault of his none of us expect to cross the river below 40 do we? Now with things sorted and a new house coming up, she needs room to breathe and the cruise was just the ticket the kids had a great time with so many things to do all day, and she could relax and meet new people.

For me, just pottering about in the upper Thames to try out the refit.

As said I am a happy Lion holder and have picked up a few floaters, so it's all positive so far and looking forward to a great realising....nothing much out there tale my fancy.

this was a good post off LSE

RE: BitcoinToday 10:20wonder why....

So many PIs got burned? The same way they do in here.. they rush into investments they do not understand and try and trade them. Coot is right too, most PIs have not got the emotional balance to invest in volatile investments, hence why I do not believe they should be on sale to individuals.

Like Coot said 95% of cryptos will disappear in next few years, most are not scams just hypes like the .com boom. Some, like Bitcoin, Ethereum and a few more are already well established and will continue to grow IMHO.

Don’t follow me into Bitcoin that is fine with me but at least have the sense not to speak about something you clearly know nothing about.

Evening rodders, nice to see your about. I don't know tbh, I'm not even bothering to watch this, trade it or the likes, I have my position and I'm waiting, although I will get flack on here for it I'm confident of a few bags here, I think I'm down a little probably but I really do not mind in the slightest here. Been trading XLM like a beast, have almost doubled my holdings in the last month. What's new with you? Out sailing?

Yawn, like waiting for paint to dry; still hoping we have some good news to look forward to from the ok drills.... SE Asia must be long dead and Peru can’t see it happening, no farm in takers been trying for years - can’t see BoD dole risking it. Hoping, just hoping!

You better get a move on Mr B if XX1 is to be drilled this year as stated a number of times or bin it and get something else. Just make the call please.
Clearly the two year talk about interested parties isn't going anywhere!.

I have voted for as well Petecb1.

They have been given that option for the last couple of years so you know they are only likely to use it if there is a return on the investment.

Given everyone on here is so sure that there won't be any dilution here, I'm assuming you've all voted against dissapplying the pre-emption rights again this year?

I've voted for, because I want the board to be able to raise cash whenever they need to.

No, it will not be "multiples higher over the next few months". I'm sure we would all love that to be the case but if the bid price is anywhere close to 0.75p in a few months time then I will be satisfied that BOIL is slowly but surely heading in the right direction.

Let's have a bit of realism here. I'm assuming the outrageous ramp from Shokty is designed to get the stalled momentum in the share price rise going again. Newbies should be wary of these ramps. The share price is back where it is, despite all the multi-bagging talk, because the jury is still out on the company's prospects as far as the markets are concerned. What might make them view BOIL in a more positive light is if our two main men were to buy a decent amount of shares on the open market when the opportunity arises. Might also make the likes of myself look foolish with our concerns of an upcoming, discounted placing.
