I think UK banks would be much stronger today but for this wretched European shorting ban which means UK banks might have to be used as proxies.

Must admit I thought that SOC Gen BUY Target of 400p would push this over at least 200p today, still not the end of trading yet, only just beginning.

A very good buy price for barc right now but ignore the buy ratings. They NEVER give you a date. A massive cop-out if ever there was one as they can never be held to account.
Its like me saying price taget £7, but without a dte it means sod all.

Or the nuclear option, no longer respond to posters unknown, bit harsh but it's always the few that spoil it for the rest, as amply shown by the walking fecal matter, aka the rioters.

There are too many people around with nothing to do. On 10 August treavis2 posted the following

Ken;
Looked everywhere but obviously not in the right place to find the e.mail link to contact you. Could you point me in the right direction please.
Ta

I responded telling him to look on the FTSE thread but have heard nothing more, although I have checked my e-mail inbox at regular intervals. I've now checked for postings from travis2 and find the one mentioned is the only post listed against that name.

This is the last post I'll be putting on this thread.

Robert, a good post, makes you think!!

Diversification with a lean towards the sector most likely to 'put weight on' will do the trick. As things are it's shares and maybe buying then renting out a low maintenance property that's in an area where there's demand...

I'm geting 3% on savings in the wifes ( no interest) name, shares took a whack.

I've too much in savings with the value going backwards! Something I'll address after we move house next week and settle the old finances a bit.

The sooner £2.00 is broke the better, I think they will increase to £2.30 quickly.
