I've never met anybody who never made a bad trade and I'm only looking for an average of £1,000 a week withing a year. As you know I'm holding reserve funds to cover an extended bad run. | kenbachelor

19/10/2010 10:46 | B1gman - The direction this afternoon will be dictated by Bank of Americas' figures due out, I believe, before the US open. Hoping they're positive. Crikey, otherwise some people will be bleating we'll see Barclays at £1 by Christmas! (Lol). I think todays rise so far has been on the belief that the US foreclosure crisis has been overblown. Happy to hold for Christmas in the expectation that Q3 figures in Nov will be well received. Near term UK market sentiment will be set by the scale of tomorrows austerity details. The greater the better in my opinion. My only concern is the spectre of tax on UK banks. However this would need to be a Europe wide initiative and may therefore not be addressed tomorrow. We also have, as 'Roadwalker' points out, the backdrop of the somewhat desperate Lehman's creditors claim which, I believe, has its final court hearing this Thursday. | xamf
19/10/2010 10:41 | Back to Barclics: Nice to see an up today, can't wait to see if this continues for the rest of the day. | b1gman2
19/10/2010 10:38 | Ooops, BARC £1 by Xmas, but watch out for the Microsoft bid. What is that supposed to mean please (Microsoft bid) | tamboerskloof
19/10/2010 10:35 | Ken has been pivitable in setting this Thread up and should be highly commended for all his efforts. Although slightly deep for myself I certainly enjoy reading the efforts of individuals who are endeavouring to make a little money with their theories. BARC, stalemate at present and will not move until the Lehman case is over IMHO. | roadwalker
19/10/2010 10:34 | Theta. I too have traded Barc for many years and have found this thread insightful over that time. It's currently the largest stock holding in my portfolio. I'm suprised at your reaction and tone, which is totally unnecesary and somewhat rude, but am sorry you have taken offence to my post. I wish you well and 'happy' trading. | xamf
19/10/2010 10:33 | XAMF I find it quite odd that of all the non-BARC topics mentioned on this thread over the years, you decide that a trading system should not be mentioned. It's not the first time a system has been mentioned, but you hone in on Ken's. One would assume you have some sort of 'agenda', a fear of others success, instructions from your employer. Why not pick on the posts on football, golf, porn, etc,. If you object to someones posts that much, use the filter button. I trade BARC almost daily, and have done for years, and suffered years of stupid posts on here. Why don't you post something on BARC that provokes comment, or create you own thread. Ooops, BARC £1 by Xmas, but watch out for the Microsoft bid. | thetatrader
19/10/2010 10:22 | I have no problems with Ken's input other than getting away from the main topic, Active Barclays Trader Club. | seccol
19/10/2010 10:19 | If anyone is not interested in Ken just filter him. | 0verzeal
19/10/2010 10:17 | Does anyone use premarket data to help with their day trades. Not that I've traded the US market, but I think they have a number of instruments/indicato | capricious
19/10/2010 10:11 | Guys, someone has already raised the point that there's too much attention focused on Ken's trading system. It is interesting but feel that too much emphasis is focused on it here. I understand this is 'Ken's thread' but feel the balance is wrong. Ken has another thread dedicated to the purpose. Gauging the direction of the FTSE is the bedrock of any short term trader and is therefore relevant here. However a better balance in favour of Barclays would be more desirable in my opinion. No disrespect intended as I appreciate that many who follow Ken's system are experienced investors/traders. | xamf
19/10/2010 10:02 | seccol, Then you shouldn't have posted it! | capricious |
