Definately no friyay today .... I just switched on the screen and saw the uninspiring pullback...guess the question is 'will fortune favour the brave ?'

Seems that barc is tracking the ftse lower. Lets hope for a more inspiring share price move next week.... gla

Manics : glad your making a few £ on the US markets... Barc hasn't been easy for a while now, since the results it has flattened out trading between early 170's and late 180's . Interesting to see what the Interims could bring to the table ...?

One possibility is for the banks to price the book assets at market discount. After all 13 yrs, and a continuing market discount, is it time to say the market price prevails

The longer bank shares trade below bank asset value the less appealing they become to potential buyers. We are 13yrs on from 2008, PPI claims are barred, balance sheets are stronger.

The problem for me is the Regulators who stress test the banks and then ban dividend payouts. I remember a BoE person, reported as saying, stronger capital ratios mean higher share price over time - 13 yrs is a long time - how many more yrs before banks trade at or above book asset value?

Time for Regulators to address the discount.

Think lots of in decisions in the markets...last few months Nas was weak and Dow strength catch up...lately Nas is showing strength keeping above 14k and Dow weak...US punters are used to having tech lead the way...index/sector rotation still keeping markets at loft levels...but a bath flush out across all indexes could be coming...
