26/1/2021 08:30 | Manics: hoping this was the right move but took a short position today. Johnwise : lets hope that covid can be reduced enough to see some light at the end of the tunnel... we saw the impact a decreasing 'R' number had last summer but we really need to have the vaccine in the masses to regain control | prbshares

25/1/2021 19:58 | PRBSHARES: ah Mr. Market, what is it they say about Hotel California?!The IB defends 90p imo (today we are some way away at 137p). Results should show a positive momentum in that business I would agree. I mean, the IB always delivers in recent history. As I believe you're suggesting BARC results might look close on the calendar though they're still an age away so far as market timing can go.So you have a while to consider your position, or perhaps cost average in over the coming weeks if you want long ahead of the day. That way however the price moves ahead of, you don't really have to beat yourself up as you're true to a strategy. FWIW if the market affords me the opportunity I'd like to be begin buying between 130-134p ahead of results. I wouldn't like to be holding below the MA200 (per charts above) which may come into play before results post.GL if you get further involved and do let the BB know how you get on! | manics

25/1/2021 17:45 | Manics...yes Barc is looking a bit over sold so smallish bounce is due...end of the month will play out this week...but have noticed from past bank shares tend to weaken ahead of reporting season so watch first 2 weeks of Feb...I would prefer around the low 120p just before reporting season... | ![]() diku
25/1/2021 17:15 | Hi Manics, I stepped back into the market last year after covid tore things apart. Its been a while to say the least and barc seemed a solid place to start. I hopped in and out for a while but the old nerves stepped back in as volatility grew... I have a small position in her still now but missed the boat on a 'short' from your 150p...bit gutted! I am looking to build on my position but finding it hard to establish where barc will plateau before she climbs again. 18th Feb results could be quite strong based primarily on the investment side and maybe there could be a mention of the divi ? I have followed your posts and respect your input. stay safe | prbshares
