hillbrown, i don't know what exactly is going to happen this weekend or next weekend. but i know that it's gonna be huge thing. cd be good for bulls or bears. but more likely to be very painful for bulls.
bear in mind that, gm must file its bankcruptcy before 1st of june. stress test could expose more nasty surprises for some banks, but i don't know which ones. and also remember that obama has run out of ammunition. $700b of tarp fund has almost gone, only a few billions left.
i am aware that barc write-downs are too optismitic relative to its peers, for exmaple merrill, now part of bofa, was more agreesive than barc in trying to come out clean. jp morgan still has huge credit card loan books.
and remember barc has fought back with strings of aeemingly excellent (half spins, half facts) news, sending its share price rocketed. i doubt it has some more good news in store. it's got no cards (spins) on the table now.
technically, though i am not very good at that, it was in overbought territory, strangley volume isn't impressive. and lastly everyone is so excited about barclays share price and got involved in buying frenzy.
these are all good indicators for me to short. so i did today at 237.5. i i was a bit agressive initially. so i trimmed a bit.
bulls be careful. if i had bought it like some of you here way back in early march, i would have taken profit and a decent holiday abroad. i'm doing it anyway.
will be posting my comment from china next week.
good weekend all. don't be too greedy.

HSBC is way undervalued too though. No FTSE 100 company has a PE like BARC. £4.50 will be here sooner than you and I would expect. Still not too late to go long.

In comparison with HSBC the P/E ratio of Barc is far too low which means the fair price for BARc should be above £4.50. Way to go yet!
