My personal view is that we are seeing confidence in the finacial sector returning slowly across the board. Inevitably, those banks who have proved stronger and more resiliant will rise quicker and farther than others. Barc is in the very good position of not requiring government money and I believe 1st qtr income will be higher than expected. Thus for me Barc is a good long term and short term hold and I will be buying on dips. All IMHO, regards.

if you want to invest in financials, there is one investment trust i used to buy. i still hold some of them. it's blue planet world wide financials and grwoth and income trusts. the managers own about 20% in each trust. managed by ken murray who is a specialist in financials.

I have a core holding which i won't touch. I have on too many occassions held out for more - only to find that i could have bought back cheaper. So, i'm trying my luck trading a little.

o/t if you haven't allready then have a look at cluff gold..seems like a really good investemnt especialy if you are looking for a quick return. we should see 40p very soon. On the move at the moment check it out

Guys nice move on RBS, bought 250,000 at 29p earlier, it is on the move 31.4p and rising,,nice day trade!!!!!!

Got to be more to come and at circa 30p its a cheap share to trade,
