As long as the US markets don't seriously correct can see this reaching 230 over next few weeks, legacy issues slowly being resolved and increased volitilty is good for the investment banking business.

we have had a dead chairman for the last 8 years so we do not need to pay or need another chairman . for the last 3 years we have had a dead chairman so at the AGM the question should be asked why we need a chairman having not had one for 8 years and for the last 3 years a dead silent one who lied to investors with false hopes

they call it 'managing expectations' and in this case it was all about shareholder expectations.
Just keep them hoping long enough, for McFarlane and Staley to get their bonuses and share options.
If they had been any good at their jobs, they would have known that they could not deliver on the assurances provided to shareholders, within the time frames they were talking about.

So, yet again, the shareholders are being strung along to keep them invested , just long enough for the share price to start recovering.
