16/9/2017 12:28 | I have now lodged my complaint against Barclays Stockbrokers with the Ombudsman 0800 023 4567 No doubt all you guys are more clever than I and either moved your accounts months ago, or are with another more reputable company with greater integrity, or you have completed your transfer. in which case lucky you.............. | cottlet
16/9/2017 07:34 | The head of whistleblowing at Barclays is to leave the bank, months after regulators began an investigation into an attempt by its chief executive, Jes Staley, to unmask an informant. Jonathan Cox, a former police detective, is set to leave after dropping an employment lawsuit against the bank. Only Barclays could require a HEAD OF WHISTLEBLOWING role in the first place, and only at Barclays could that individual lodge an HR LAWSUIT while under the employ of. Just incredible. Barclays chose not to dismiss Mr Staley. John McFarlane, the chairman, called the incident an “honest” mistake." Well there you have it. An "honest mistake" at Barclays. Just add it to the long list of other "honest mistakes", your honour. I mean come on people -we're very firmly in Mickey Mouse territory here imo. | manics
15/9/2017 19:49 | I warn you..............I have been told that if you trade, you effectively go to the back of the queue. Barclays make the excuse that the figure you gave your new stockbroker will change and so you get shoved to the back.......at least that is what I have been told, and no sign of a transfer of my four accounts in sight. I have NOT tried to phone Barclays this week, waiting 1 hour 40 minutes on three occasions does not help my mood or blood pressure, I am so annoyed. | cottlet
15/9/2017 19:42 | agree with Waterloo, struggling with my tax return also. Inadequate information to complete properly. Have made preparations to dump Barclays just like they sidelined us. | cottlet
15/9/2017 17:02 | Should You Be Tempted To Buy Barclays PLC (LSE:BARC) Because Of Its PE Ratio? | bernie37
15/9/2017 16:40 | The way I see it, next week on the BARC six month is a double bottom at 184p, or it's stuffed. | manics
15/9/2017 16:38 | smurfy: no issues and I've read some brokers can take weeks. In my experience they're there on the day. I seem to recall PTEC may have extended 24/72 hours, though they pay in € which may have been a factor. | manics
15/9/2017 16:35 | Thanks Manics. How prompt are they with the dividend payments? | smurfy2001
15/9/2017 16:32 | Buy the knowledge and truth (which emanates from my posts) and sell the lies and incompetence (apparent within this share imo) imo. | manics
15/9/2017 13:38 | You all want to take a look at what monty is posting on the BT boardHe is know showing data for the next 21days where the share price will be, if it was that simple I'd be at the Southampton boat show writing a cheque out to sunseeker :-) | 1224saj
15/9/2017 11:06 | Just done a sell / buy on Barclays new system. Contract notes are laid out differently which is a small irritation but was amused that on the sale one the net amount after charges is shown as 'Cost' oh dear they can't even get that right! | ayl30
15/9/2017 10:09 | Trade cost scales down as you'd expect, apart from that, that's all you need to know. No inactivity or account holding fees (outside of ISA). Been very happy there both trading & ISA since I transferred some time ago. Very responsive CS if/when required also (for example, I once had a 'rooted' mobile device which failed HL security and so the app would not run. The issue was escalated internally, and positioned back to me in a full report within the day). Try bamboozling Barclays with that one. Decent app too, if you require it for your chosen mobility platform, and a very reliable service imo. | manics
15/9/2017 09:15 | @Manics - ISA £45 per annum capped is not bad and £11.95 per trade. Am l missing any other charges? | smurfy2001
15/9/2017 09:01 | Barclays CEO, under a regulatory investigation, wins praise from the bank's chairman | bernie37
15/9/2017 08:19 | Does anyone really want to stay with Barclays! | ayl30
15/9/2017 01:17 | Unsurprisingly given the Barclays debacle , HL have taken the opportunity to re-open their transfer cashback offer. Check it out imo. 14/9/2017 15:59 | I read that the "hint" of higher interest rates is bad for house builders.. Strange the the same is not good for banks ? | smartypants
14/9/2017 15:21 | Really, this going south, Lloyds going North ? | ccr1958 |
