Complaints by angry customers of Barclays Stockbrokers about the enforced switch of their accounts to the new “Smart Investor” service continue, with clients citing the complex log-in, higher costs and lack of basic functions.

portside1: have you yet issued direction to sell down BARC? This bounce is a great opportunity to do so imo. You could have had 210p remember.

Over the decade the economy, global indices, inflation all doing their thing yet still BARC an embarrassing fraction of where it was and might have been, price wise.

The staff would have been better off staying in bed. They have demonstrably achieved nothing and morale must be horrendous.

Gotta keep the ponzi going

Just another way to prop up House Price Inflation and stop first time buyers being able to buy instead of rent.

My transfer from barc to TD Direct was completed this week taking approximately 8 weeks. If I had known the trouble it has taken to do this I would have sold the portfolio and bought back again. In doing so I would be 10k better off. TD Direct have been very good in regard to customer service. Hope this continues.

Thanks portside, so none of this 0.2% of portfolio management charge. Also can you see ALL dealings of a specific share with just one click on the actual share and not go trawling through all transactions for it. Barclays stockbrokers had that and now the new site has removed that facility
