I haven't tried that hard yet but has anyone seen how to get the share data such as Director buys, holdings, fundamentals. It doesn't fall easily to hand like clicking on one's holding.

@smurfy wow thanks. I got back on after 2pm and for me the share is blocked from trade for some reason. I already hold a few which I can't even sell. Maybe it's just my account.

Would like to think that someone at BS above the latrine-cleaner level (my, they must be busy) looks in on this board and takes note of the unanimous thumbs down. Apologies and an undertaking to rework the whole thing would be welcome. To, think that only 12 months ago I transferred an account in from Selftrade/Equiniti which was infinitely superior to this new BS system. (Great initials btw.)
Only small crumb of comfort is that I ditched my last BARC holding a few months ago.

Its such a fanny on to just place a trade, was simple before. Why change something that wasn't broken.
Sometimes you want to test both sides, buy/sell, now you have to state what you want to do before the trade, then go to the trade screen.
Before both buy and sell were on the same screen making it easy.

Reminds me of the guy who asked for directions and you send him round the estate to get to the other side of the road.

fillipe: I saw you mention having to clear cookies to switch accounts. One way you could circumvent that is to have your wife log in as usual (the easier option) where the browser would remember her credentials as normal.

Whenever you want to login, then you do so using your browser INCOGNITO mode. This diverts the browser away from cookies, stored passwords etc. It's very much like logging in for the first time from another, fresh computer.

surprised not more posts on how rubbish this is....you can't get "quick quotes" like you could previously now you have to go back through portfolio, type in, change funds to shares, get name up, click on it, etc etc and pricing is still half an hour behind....can't change to see portfolio stocks in alphabetical order I mean the list of UNusability goes on......thanks for link to other a/cs will investigate

What was very straightforward and quick and easy to deal is now a lengthier process where just the wrong click can send you back to the start.

As someone mentioned earlier, the account seems to be spread out all over the place with info laid out in patterns which I feel most folks don't want or like.

I did a test deal this morning and reckon it took about thrice the length of previous time - in fairness it was ok once I'd figured our which bits to click on - but I now feel I need to have a step-by-step back of an envelope notation sheet in front of me just to keep on the right path.

A case of it being over-engineered, but that's unintended flattery.

Good staff, brilliant admin and a great site were just some of the reasons why I recommended Barc's to fellow investors in the past - but I'll take a rain-check on that one, at least for the moment.

Don't get me going on about the now inability to operate my spouses account and how I have to explain all this to her, in order for her to now "run her own show"!

Im having problems with certain shares. Apparently Vedanta holdings (VED) is no longer ISA eligible and i can't trade in or out of this main market listed share. I have always been able to trade this with barclays no problem.

Got to my accounts without problem but I'm not impressed. There is a lot of wasted space on the list of holdings, they are now spread out over several pages and there doesn't seem to be a "change today" option. I'm thinking of moving everything to YouInvest where I have my SIPP.

Agree with others, this new "Smart" system is cr*p and certainly not designed with customers interests at heart. One of my ISA holdings however has just leapt to over £2m because the plonkers have mis-placed or omitted the decimal point. Can't sell them though :-(
Seriously, this is a disaster zone.

Its certainly not intuitive.
I see there's also no max you can buy on the trade screen, you need to get a calc out to work it out.

Still waiting for them to answer.
