Here in Thailand, most provinces will collect bins 2 times a week, sometimes every night if you live in a city. I pay 20baht a month!!

South East job market 'feeling strain' as vacancies fall


The number of new permanent joiners in the South of England fell in November, according to a new report.

The KPMG and REC, UK Report on Jobs: South of England survey, compiled by S&P Global, revealed the strongest decline in new permanent joiners since March.

This downturn in hiring activity was attributed to the Autumn Budget, which anecdotal evidence suggests prompted businesses to adopt cost-cutting initiatives and a more cautious employment strategy.

The survey also recorded a decline in temporary billings, although the rate of contraction softened since October.

The oversupply of candidates and cautious hiring attitudes led to a reduction in salaries for new permanent joiners for the first time since February 2021.

Emma Gibson, office senior partner at KPMG UK in Reading, said: "The job market in the South is feeling the strain with an accelerated decline in permanent vacancies, the sharpest cutback in over four years.

"This reflects the cautious approach businesses are taking following the Budget’s announcement of higher National Insurance and increased hiring costs."

This government has lost the bloody plot so quickly

It’s asking for trouble if bins are emptied any longer than every other week especially in the summer. We are going backwards as a country. We are taxed the highest we’ve been for 70 years both by Central government and local councils.

So where is all this money going to, if it’s not on the basic services our society needs before it breaks down. Where is it all going ? Someone please tell me because I’m absolutely aghast as to how our services are being cut and you’ve got this crazy government claiming they had inherited a 22 million pound black hole , when almost ten million of that THEY actually added by caving into the rail unions without any productivity clauses . You couldn’t make it up.

We are seeing the basic foundations of our once great society being allowed to crumble before our very eyes and this new government is just making matters worse . Our pensioners will freeze to death this winter , if some haven’t already . The budget is going to cause a recession.

As a result companies are already planning how to make many redundancies with minimum effect to their businesses. The founder of Reed Employment says all the signs are there now as they were before the last recession. When will the PM and Chancellor actually realise their plans will cause economic disaster to this country. The economy is shrinking big time , yet they still believe they have the answers .

If we can’t afford to collect household bins every other week then we really are heading for a tough time . Interest rates will be going up Next year not down. What a way to start a coming new year. .

The bridge Iran constructed to link itself to the Mediterranean and Israel’s northern doorstep has collapsed. The scope of Iran’s loss in Syria, in terms of money, arms, time and effort, cannot be overstated. Iran’s regional stance, already deteriorating, has now been further weakened.

BREAKING Assad flees Syria, regime falls, arrives in Abu Dhabi


A private jet departed Damascus and arrived in Abu Dhabi on December 7, carrying Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the rest of his family, fleeing rebels that are rapidly taking control of his country, Turkish media reports.

Flight radar data reviewed by bne IntelliNews showed a private aircraft leaving the Syrian capital and later landing in the United Arab Emirates.bne IntelliNews could not independently verify who was on board or the purpose of the flight at the time of departure.

As bne IntelliNews reported earlier the same day, Assad's reimge was tettering on edge of collapse after rebel forces took Aleppo last week and a string of cities has fallen under thier control in the last days.
