In the up and up. Looking at the ECBs forward ratio it would seem we are overcapitalised and theres scope for expansion or to pay down bond holders drastically decreasing out goings.

I like the look of that chart, it keeps bouncing off the top of the channel. It looks set for another sharp move upwards which could come after the General election

agree with both of you. The worst case scenario I see is the EU tolerating RoI not having border checks on anything coming from NI, but with NI ports being a check point for any agri product coming in from GB (as they already are today). EU checks would then take place on EU mainland ports of entry to ensure nothing is slipped through from old blighty via NI-RoI to EU.

Yes I agree with you I'm just reading between the lines. I would imagine in reality Ireland will be put into special measures from day 1 until the borders have been secured and will be given additional EU help to alleviate any downside as the whole pathetic brexit process plays out.

Amazing how one thread talks so negatively and another talks about how much of a bargain BOI is now. The only reason for this share price being low is due to Brexit uncertainty, Ireland's economy is incredibly healthy and the EU will want to turn the knife on Britain making a stupid decision and support Ireland economically after Oct passes.

Actually your all missing the systemic risk. If the British leave without a deal, you don't honesty imagine the EU are going to carry on as business as normal with southern Ireland do you. Certainly not until the Irish have erected hard boarders across N.Ireland. Until they have done that EU import/export is going to be erm ......problematic shall we say. Lol.

Clearly you don't realise that half of BOI business is in GB? And yes, clowns voted for Brexit. And yes, GB will get a massive Brexit hit (self inflicted) with Ireland collateral damage. I think of it as the economic equivalent of a murder suicide. BOI exposed to both.
