Well - personally I would be looking at €8.00 first. It has breached it before but failed to hold. Going up is rarely easy. Small steps ...

You collect the dividend on the way. I don't see it breaching €9 just yet but €8.50 is the next target/step up which looks easy from here

Reduction in NIM is the reason for lower price plus slightly lower than expected dividend - but i think just short term and can get back on the upward curve

Nice results and a return to a div after 10 years , only 11cents but the plan now there is plenty of capital buffer to get divs up to 50pct of long term earnings will have them up to 50cents in no time, also nice for the perps to have a situation again where divs are being paid so the risk on those is reduced...

If you include the value of Irish Fisheries to the EU then Ireland has always been second only to Germany as a net contributor to the EU. But it has its benefits and embracing the EU, becoming export driven economy has pushed Ireland out of recession to become the fastest growing economy in Europe again. And growth is good, Brexit is seen as an opportunity, and Bank of Ireland is in a great and unique position to play both sides of the deal.
This is still an undervalued bank, no write backs have been done yet some of these so called bad loans on properties are now commanding higher rental returns than in the height of 2008 boom I've been monitoring property auctions here and noticed many of the repossession houses sold by Bank of Ireland have been selling far in advance of what the bank is owed. One house I seen in my area had a Mortgage of €150k owed to the bank selling at auction for over €235k. They are making money make no mistake.
Expect double digit prices this year and pushing €14 by 2019

Looking at the figures published, it looks like in 2016 and 2017 that Ireland has become a small net contributor to the EU budget. From 1973 to 2015 it was a net it's been a constant beneficiary. The wealth of Ireland post brexit referendum is on a skyward trajectory. Their wealth in comparison to the UKs looks set to grow significantly, they will be laughing all the way to the bank (of Ireland hopefully) as they watch their closest trading naibour crash out the EU and flounder in their own economic isolation.

Considering they are 2nd only to Germany in the amount that they pay into the EU I think its only fair that they get something out of the EU

Interesting to see Ireland are being forced to accept 15bn euro in tax from apple, they certainly are doing better out of the eu than the uk, long term boi is going to be solid!

Ah well, it was good while it lasted - down she goes again.

Or is it just a blip in the upward trajectory....?

Actually that 8 euro seller wasn't as bad as I imagined. This could march on towards 9 fairly quickly

Thanks. im sure i had these at 40p in old world before wilbur got out. So they could have a range of 12e? Realistically is 10e do-able? Or will she go down as quick as she went up?
