16/8/2019 18:42 | Bought yesterday too. I will keep adding at these low prices | hayfield
16/8/2019 17:25 | Bought some of these today. Doomsday seems to be in the price. As always I hope I’m right | hybrasil
14/8/2019 08:37 | agree with both of you. The worst case scenario I see is the EU tolerating RoI not having border checks on anything coming from NI, but with NI ports being a check point for any agri product coming in from GB (as they already are today). EU checks would then take place on EU mainland ports of entry to ensure nothing is slipped through from old blighty via NI-RoI to EU. | craffert
13/8/2019 19:16 | Yes I agree with you I'm just reading between the lines. I would imagine in reality Ireland will be put into special measures from day 1 until the borders have been secured and will be given additional EU help to alleviate any downside as the whole pathetic brexit process plays out. | my retirement fund
13/8/2019 17:24 | Amazing how one thread talks so negatively and another talks about how much of a bargain BOI is now. The only reason for this share price being low is due to Brexit uncertainty, Ireland's economy is incredibly healthy and the EU will want to turn the knife on Britain making a stupid decision and support Ireland economically after Oct passes. | tiananmen
13/8/2019 13:15 | Actually your all missing the systemic risk. If the British leave without a deal, you don't honesty imagine the EU are going to carry on as business as normal with southern Ireland do you. Certainly not until the Irish have erected hard boarders across N.Ireland. Until they have done that EU import/export is going to be erm ......problematic shall we say. Lol. | my retirement fund
13/8/2019 10:38 | Clearly you don't realise that half of BOI business is in GB? And yes, clowns voted for Brexit. And yes, GB will get a massive Brexit hit (self inflicted) with Ireland collateral damage. I think of it as the economic equivalent of a murder suicide. BOI exposed to both. | craffert
13/8/2019 10:00 | Recession Lol, only country going into a recession is you clowns in Britain | tiananmen
13/8/2019 09:40 | hard Brexit pushes the Irish economy into recession. Market is discounting future cashflows, not today's rear view mirror data | craffert
12/8/2019 12:35 | this is really at odds with the strength of the Irish economy | dealy
10/8/2019 09:48 | I'd hold off even then too. Brexit carnage will see this bankrupt again and in need of another Bailout | hayfield
09/8/2019 19:47 | i have a plan to buy Friday 1 Nov 2019 when there is carnage | craffert
09/8/2019 19:33 | I think both Boi and Aib are oversold. They are both pretty riddled with cash And will I suspect be able to pay their 6%+ dividend for a long time. I see Templeton are selling down. Presumably brexit related. Still haven’t pressed the buy button but very tempted | hybrasil
07/8/2019 14:23 | no value here when the dividend will need to be cut to shore up loan losses, or the transformational IT project gets canned to preserve capital (in which case BoI will get further slaugtered by the tech savvy banks) | craffert
07/8/2019 10:28 | Yeah in for the long term now - bought today yield is over 4.5% based on last div which is expected to increase so thats some value | datahead
31/7/2019 12:20 | Hard Brexit on 31 Oct and a significant chunk of Irish Bank assets are immediately impaired, at a time when those customers will also need extra liquidity. Even worse for BOI as the UK also takes a crunch hit. Share price reflects the probability of this. Shocking. | craffert |
