"Small investors who live in 2018 and have backed them with life savings and retirement money are getting rained on daily."

Short term speculators often get burned.

"Small investors", if they are "investors" are looking longer term.

You either buy the hype or you buy the story... stories take a little longer to reach the end.

Anderson and Malhotranot might be willing to wait for 2019 or 2020 for return on investment. Small investors who live in 2018 and have backed them with life savings and retirement money are getting rained on daily.

When any company starts doing this I think its a very bad thing.
Its more or less a Panama Pump.

Pass the parcel with your cash.
Risk free if you own the parcel.
Ps..........the parcel is empty.

Chimers - several months ago you referred to a program on TV, it was all about the value of data, and you used this to hype Bango suggesting it was worth £10.00 a share.

Bango have just raised funds and bought another data company.

Yes, they have raised more than they needed for this single purchase, yes, many will say the discount offered on the placing was too high... but taken alone, do you think buying a data company was a good move, or a bad move?

The news is saying SELL.
You dont raise £5m to buy a £1m company when you have £5m in the bank.

IT STINKS

Chimers said: That was before the directors pointed out to the public they are simply scumbags and scammers.

But as I have pointed out, the directors have far more skin in the game than any of us here... the fall in share price will have cost them millions, far more than they could possibly have profited from buying 20,000 shares at £1.80

They clearly have long term belief in the appropriateness of the deal.

I am intending to be a long term holder...

You say "News changes everything"...

Well that depends on what the news is. Has the companies prospects in its relevant market changed, and if so for the worse or the better?

Buying the data company, in my view certainly does not reduce its prospects. As such the value of the company will increase.

Mr Market is blown flipperty flopperty by the news... without understanding what the news is really saying.
