08/3/2024 08:50 | I wondered what was happening, they had been accumulating shares recently and now a very large purchase gone through. That's a good sign since a large purchase like that will probably be either Directors buying or an institution who will have been able to talk to the Directors to discuss the previous trading update. It's odd that anyone would sell but they were only small amounts and that's why it took so long to accumulate for this big purchase. What will that purchasers next step be now their cover is blown, wait or chase the price up ? | amt
08/3/2024 08:14 | Perhaps a better day today | amt
08/3/2024 07:21 | My guess is that Boku will have about usd 80m of cash so a combination of cash and shares would make sense. Bango are strong in US while Boku aren't and it makes sense to combine the two Geographically. | amt
07/3/2024 15:44 | I think a Boku takeout is highly likely if BGO can't sort this mess out and restore value very quickly. Would it make as much sense strategically as it appears on the surface? I'm not close enough to either to make a proper judgement on that but some of you guys are? | a1canary
07/3/2024 15:21 | I don't think NHN have enough funds to make a bid do they ? More likely Boku who have plenty of cash and a market cap of 6x Bango. As mentioned before they could double EUS by taking Bango and Geographically it would make them truly global. | amt
07/3/2024 15:05 | I can fully understand why some think a raise is on the cards, particularly given they've missed on numbers after reiterating confidence when I asked the question back in October. That said, I'm prepared to give Anil the benefit of doubt, as he was pretty firm regarding dismissing any raise when we spoke on the day of the warning.A take-out is certainly an interesting avenue and it wouldn't surprise me to see a low ball offer emerging.Roll on the results for all concerned! | hastings
07/3/2024 14:40 | The interview with the CTO suggested no raise, he seemed quite clear on that, they have arranged £3m overdraft if needed and expect to start to be cash generative this year. So unless something else has come out of the Docomo integration or unexpected corporate activity I wouldn't expect a raise. | adtraderuae
07/3/2024 12:02 | Think catalyst will be results when they give clarity between one time costs, operating cash flows and investment in DVM... | ic777
07/3/2024 11:31 | The trigger event will be someone buying this out for fuc all! | jasperlachat
07/3/2024 10:20 | I doubt there'll be a trigger event until better/clearer financials are out. So it'll either be H1 results in July or if they are able some provide some clarity about '24 performance to date when they publish the formal results for '23. | 6gr
07/3/2024 09:14 | So what do we all think will be the trigger point for the rebound | lentjes
07/3/2024 08:33 | USDJPY looks to be turning and likely to move towards 135-140...this should benefit Bango! | ic777
07/3/2024 07:24 | “6gr: What a bunch of fuss over some one-off costs. The Long-Term picture has not changed and is super positive IMHO.” This - just beats any kind of logic imo. Clearly there were always going to be some unforeseen costs in the acquisition but I bet that the underlying inertia of the business would far outweigh any teething problems. An extra few mill was always in my tolerance levels - spectacular over reaction. | jasperlachat
06/3/2024 21:51 | Bango has been going through these cycles for as long as I can remember. In earlier years I was dubious and used to sell out and then buy back later when positive news came through. So I realised a lot of profit over the last 8 years or so. This time I was so certain the outlook looked great it never occurred to me to take profits. I have ended up doubling my holding at close to a pound which is far more than is sensible really but I just can't imagine how there won't be a recovery at some point. | amt
06/3/2024 21:43 | You guys are keeping me sane through all this. Measured sensible chat. Let's hope Bangor are measured about their new forecasts | vespasianthesubguest
06/3/2024 13:43 | Institutional Investors are legally obliged to report within two days. The share price halved six or so weeks ago and not one has sold (other than one minor adjustment). | 6gr
06/3/2024 13:21 | one never knows about selling until it is ongoing and reported imho | kaos3
06/3/2024 13:08 | What a bunch of fuss over some one-off costs. The Long-Term picture has not changed and is super positive IMHO. The fact is that no institutional investors have sold, so what we have is a huge share price move down by scared PIs selling and the Market-makers are happy to suck it up in an illiquid and ignored part of the dysfunctional UK stock market. This is why no-one floats in the UK and so many small cap companies are being bought off the market. | 6gr
06/3/2024 12:34 | Ultimately these r one off costs that r inconsequential over the long term...unless it results in them needing more funding which I believe they do not need. | ic777
06/3/2024 12:28 | The longer they leave it the more accurate they can get the remaining costs from Docommo acquisition. Perhaps they have some big contracts under negotiation which they would like to announce to cushion the blow. | amt
06/3/2024 12:28 | If your assumption is correct which would mean that they don’t really know the true situation it’s not hard to understand the market continued negative, maybe the delay in announcing the date of the results is that they also need to take the analysts along with them and the analysts are being extra diligent after being embarrassed by the TU before putting their name to the revised forecast | lentjes
06/3/2024 12:13 | I am thinking having the recent experience, they need to get a handle and be very certain of the costs going forward and get their forecasts for 2024 spot-on and with great vlarity..there are still some residual costs of the integration going forward...probably need board approval before they can get it out as well. | ic777
06/3/2024 11:59 | So why not get the results out sooner rather than later | lentjes
06/3/2024 11:34 | Think market is severely undervaluing the company...blame the company on just focusing all out of growth and not explaining well to the market..the bigger the drop, the bigger will be the pop when results come and market gains some understanding of the underlying dynamics... | ic777 |
