Further to my post Prozac also said BPC needed the cash so would sell IT to PRD for even less than the derisory offer they made... so far he has been proven WRONG and since had bashed the hell out of the company.Ask yourself why?He now raises the caution or shall we say warning over funding for Suriname and Trinidadian assets. A bit like the caution we see ref the P1 drill set at 35% COS.... Prozac - have you got anything useful to debate perhaps like how the CO2 project is going with PRD seeing as you are invested there????

Alistair, what is discussed on the bulletin boards has absolutely no effect on the BPC share price.

The near term BPC share price will be decided only by :

The level of dilution to raise more and more funds as required.
The P1 drilling result - good or bad or most likely something in between IMO.

JP2011, possibly a very simple reason for the increased PR.

The latest official company funding RNS a few days ago said as below - they need to raise more funds else the work plan in T&T and Suriname might be under threat.





..........In circumstances where neither the balance of the fixed-conversion price conditional convertible notes is available, nor the Call exercised, BPC would need to rely on seeking alternative funding if it was to be able to complete the full intended program of work for 2021 (most particularly in Trinidad and Tobago and Suriname). There can be no assurance that BPC would be successful in securing any such alternative funding, and if this were the case, the planned program of work in Trinidad and Tobago and Suriname might need to be curtailed or deferred. .........

Patience is a wise sentiment and sound advice... generally.
But 10 years of ‘patience̵7; here, for me personally, has simply not paid off.
I recognise Linton (who mentions Lallee) as the only individual/s who have been here quite that long.
And in that time, it’s gone from 26p to 0.5p... and, in the dizzy summer of 2018 (with the ‘exclusive agreement’) back to 7.8p.
As it plummeted between 2011 and early 2018 I was able to build a holding of 656,000 from an initial 35,000. And my average became 1p (from buying in initially at 14p).
At that point, I was happy to say my patience seemed to be paying off.
However, since then, I’ve lost faith in the whole project. And so sold, in tranches, on the way from 5.8p in Jan 2020 to 2.7p later in that year.
Yes, Covid didn’t help.
But, back to patience... mine simply wore thin.
I’d love to say my capital has done FAR better elsewhere..! But it hasn’t..!
However, at 2.1p today, I can only say my IMpatience was justified. For now.
The other thing about patience, of course, is that it is often offered too generously to entities that might just eventually become obsolete..?
I’m not saying oil is. Or will.
But what I bought in to has been diluted and diversified beyond recognition. And the straw that bent the spine of the desert dwelling quadruped (for me) was the promise that the ‘Perseverance’ placing was all that was (finally) needed to get us across the line.
It wasn’t.
And I didn’t, personally, feel morally comfortable ‘lending’; MORE money to an untrustworthy debtor.
HOWEVER... at <1.5p I might JUST throw a toe in... just for old times’ sake..?
