18/12/2014 08:37 | Missed that info by pocopicu. Will look it up. LM have been and are very successful with F16. Starfighter (F104) was a good plane, just crashed a lot! Saw them constantly doing circuits around Rheindahlen area. | dafrog

17/12/2014 18:51 | Assume the North south divide for F35 maintenance didn't go any further then? | yogi
17/12/2014 10:43 | Bad news. "F-35 initial airframe MRO&U capability will be provided by Italy by 2018, with the UK assigned to supplement the existing capability if required. Engine heavy maintenance will initially be provided by Turkey, also in 2018, with Norway and the Netherlands providing additional capability approximately 2-3 years after Turkey’s initial capability." | pocopicu
15/12/2014 12:31 | Back to earth at 440p. Some buy high post breakout and sell low on broken resistance. Haven't looked at US defense contractors recently. Aerospace in the name of Airbus and Boeing hammered lately with further delays, pressure on listed prices and ramp-up costs. No direct across-read though. | alphahunter
09/12/2014 10:58 | BAE SYSTEMS - Defence contractors BAE Systems, Navantia SA and Raytheon Co will increase their roles in Australia's A$8.5 billion ($7 billion) warship building project as the country tries to get the troubled programme back on track. | fangorn2

03/12/2014 10:23 | Seems to be breaking to new highs. Very interesting. I'm just about to buy | supermarky

25/11/2014 10:45 | I am aware that LM have be told, by DoD to get some sort of support solution on the table by the end of this year but am not aware of any North/South Europe split or agreement | ribblewader
24/11/2014 19:45 | That's interesting poc, where did u read - I couldn't find mention anywhere? | yogi
24/11/2014 15:56 | They are currently in discussions to support thhe Northern European F35 fleet at Warton. The Southern European F35 fleet is pencilled in to be supported from Italy. | pocopicu
24/11/2014 09:17 | Re Yogi's 3854. LRIP = Low Rate Initial Production, LRIP 8 being the 8th such release of orders. The LRIP process is due to run to No 12 and then full rate production (FRP) should takeover. However, although BAES do manufacture 15% of the aircraft the LRIP process also includes spares requirements (which may or may not include BAES manufactured items). BAES will manage the UK end of LRIP 8 as they are the prime UK company but other supportability issues have yet to be agreed and could very well go European. | ribblewader
23/11/2014 07:00 | Yes, weird decision. Would like to see shipyard again building commercial ships as well as warships, and out of the clutches of the SNP. Also move deterrent away from Scotland to SW England. | dafrog
22/11/2014 21:09 | Pity they sold the 30% stake in Airbus a few years ago! | pocopicu
22/11/2014 07:07 | Pity we don't provide engines, as has been said before. Hope lesson learnt. | dafrog
21/11/2014 23:35 | X = 43 sorry about the lingo but yes latest batch of F35's now contracted which has a benefit to BAE. | yogi
21/11/2014 22:28 | Definitived? LRIP 8 for $4.123bn What's that in English? Lockheed signed a contract to deliver "X" number of F-35 for $4.12bn | fangorn2
21/11/2014 22:15 | LM just definitived F-35 LRIP 8 for $4.123bn - BAE should get circa 15 % of contract - good end hopefully to this week! | yogi
20/11/2014 20:25 | They just been awarded a 365m contract to upgrade radar on Typhoons hxxp://www.baesystem | owenski
07/11/2014 14:42 | Looks to me that BAE will come out of the SK deal very well;Demonstrated capability to do the upgrade, public backing by the DoD, and what will be a hefty termination pay-off .... only a matter of time before the F16 market is truly opened. | squidsgone
07/11/2014 14:19 | BAE, have they invented Teflon? McCain as a new Defense Supremo in Congress with a keen eye on cost, a large (with add-ons) contract to upgrade the F-16 shot down, a pension deficit to increase with lower AA corporate bonds, the mud doesn't stick. Is this company just about dividends, FX and Neil? | alphahunter |
